Two 18-hole courses rest on the 900-acre retreat that is all about golf -- not condos or summer homes. Panther Lakes is the flashier of the two designs at Orange County National, most say, because no two holes are the same. The playing surfaces are lush and the topography is so varied in some areas, some have a hard time believing they're in Florida. The architect made good use of the rolling meadows, grasslands, wetlands and lakes. Visually rich elements saturate the 7,295-yard design.

Panther Lake is a amazing golf course and OCN should be a top place to play golf. We played a round with a foursome in front that had no knowledge how to behave on a golf course and the pace of play was horrible. Where was the ranger? Nine holes played in 2 hours and 45 minutes and the rest was a joke. Have been playing OCN many years but never again. BTW the cartboys did not make the experience better. Good service in the restaurant though...

Great value for afternoon round

Played here a couple of times in the past few weeks between 2-4pm. Course has good rates at these times and not crowded, except for Friday afternoons. Greens were punched a few weeks ago but putts still rolled smoothly, but fast. Starter really nice, very flexible if you get there early. A few tee boxes were just average and some areas around the green had weeds, but overall, course in great shape.

Terrible range balls and range conditions.

Golf course was in good shape, good tee boxes and greens.

My only complaint is the very terrible condition of the range balls and the outrageous price they want for them. Driving range and chipping area also in poor condition and don't reflect the quality or condition of the golf course.

Not bad, but if you are going to pay over $100 for round then pick somewhere else. Layout: pretty cool 5 3s 5 5s staff: starter on course was awesome. Dude at the pro shop was not the friendliest or maybe just a bad day.

Best In Orange County

I've played this course and crooked cat several times and have never been disappointed. Course is in good shape and even though the greens have been punched recently, they rolled true and of course pretty fast. Love the challenge level of Panther. The only issue was a foursome jumped on the back nine ahead of us and dramatically slowed down the back and they they went and played Crooked Cat. We reported it to the course when we were done. Had we seen a marshall we would have told them earlier. My opinion is that OCN is the best facility and 2 courses in Orlando area.

If you don’t mind playing later - course is in great shape

The course is in great shape - if you don’t mind a little warmer weather, afternoon pricing is much more reasonable. I’m not sure it can be justified as a $100-$120+ round. But we snagged a $50 tee time for 3:20 and had a great time!

They have increased the price almost 40% since last year and I haven’t seen one improvement. The GPS geofences are set to ridiculous parameters, greens are decent but this place used to be pristine. Just because you can charge more money doesn’t mean you have to. Stop being greedy.

We teed off at 3:45 on Friday and expected the round to finish before sunset. We were put behind a group of 5 who played very slowly. We made the turn after 6 pm but still could finish if the group had moved along. We never saw a ranger and decided after 14 to skip 15 and we found that there were two open holes in front of the five some. We were able to play 16 holes but the delays in hitting at EVERY hole cost us to goal of playing all 18 holes . We also felt that the condition of the course was sub par compared to other courses we played this week, including The Florida Club and Tge Eannamaker course at Pga village. I wish I could recommend your course to others but I will not at this point in time.
