Two 18-hole courses rest on the 900-acre retreat that is all about golf -- not condos or summer homes. Panther Lakes is the flashier of the two designs at Orange County National, most say, because no two holes are the same. The playing surfaces are lush and the topography is so varied in some areas, some have a hard time believing they're in Florida. The architect made good use of the rolling meadows, grasslands, wetlands and lakes. Visually rich elements saturate the 7,295-yard design.

caught the course at a bad time

i believe the course was about to be closed for maintenance. the greens were excellent and most fairways were good. but tee boxes and some spots were really bad. bunkers were inconsistent too. but usually the course is great so i know they’ll get it back.

It was a very well kept golf course. I would say it is on the same level as some of the nicer courses in the area. My first time playing. I really liked the fact that the rangers do their job keeping play moving. I will definitely try and play a few more time during the summer months.

5 1/2 hours pathetic management of players by this course waited on 12 out of 18 holes ranger came by 3 times explaining that large group in front ware playing match point against each other and playing from the back orange tees which became apparent was way above their ability but was allowed to go on A round of golf should be enjoyable and with price we all paid respectful to fellow golfers We were paired up with some great gentleman one 90 the other 83 who were playing best ball and all 18 holes and to see them struggle due to extremely slow pace of play was sad Shame on course management for not handling the pace of play better

Bad experience

Only had good experiences playing here for about a decade now. They let a tournament group of over 20 slow everyone down to an unacceptable 5 hour round. It's really just sad management couldn't figure it out because the staff was good but the ranger needed to move them and for whatever reason didn't. With the GPS carts they know what's happening. Obviously their LIV money has them excited but the course isn't what has been before extra weeds and scorched fairways. Just sad to have this experience.
