Golf Club At Terra Lago - North Course

We've played this course many times over the past 18 years or so. It was a wonderful course in the "old days" but it really is showing its age. The desert off the course is full of dead plants and wooded debris which make the overall beauty lacking. Most of the fairways were in reasonable condition but waste areas are unmaintained and some of the fairway bunkers that used to be full of beautiful sand are now grassy sanded areas. The greens have lots of patches which appear to have been painted and/or repaired. Overall, the tract is nice, but the appearance of the course is not pleasing. Because of the conditions of the waste areas and bunkers, you really need to make sure you don't go there. You will most likely have a bad lie. I would not recommend a friend play the course without warning them that it's not going to be in as good condition as other courses in the area. Off-course amenities have also been downgraded...snack shop is in the pro shop now and the restaurant is not operating. There was no beverage cart the day we were out either. It's an ok course in the desert for $80-90 during season but I wouldn't pay over $100 to play here.

Nice layout. Could tell it was a good course back when it was new. Greens are diseased and need significant recovery time. Doesn't offer most of the amenities of other PS courses (no free range, no water bottles, no on course drink cart, no gps) but it is cheaper than most. Of course, it is also a longer driver away than most courses.

Not sure I would play it again unless it was all that was available.

Overall the course was fun and challenging. Nice layout with many elevation changes with water on several holes. The Tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. The greens, not so much. The First 4 holes were terrible and then the rest had fugus patches all over them. Still worth playing. The course did play long. I played gold tees at 6500ish yards, but it felt longer.

Nor worth the money. The greens on the north course are in terrible shape. It’s embarrassing. Burnt out areas, lots of dirt areas, shaggy in others. I won’t go back.

Great looking course cut through the dessert.

Only minus point are the greens, they are soft, slow and a little bumpy.

Greens were in horrible shape. Drink tent screwed up simple drinks. No Marshall’s to help with pace.
