Formerly known as Landmark Golf Club, the Golf Club at Terra Lago was the host of the PGA Tour Skins Game from 1999 to 2002. The club's impressive guest list includes Greg Norman, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods. There are two 18-hole courses available called the North and the South. At 7,044 yards, Terra Lago's South Course is just barely shorter than the 7,060-yard North Course but they are equally challenging. The South is known for having one of the club's most unique and memorable holes, the par-4 second. This narrow hole runs alongside a wide canal that makes anything hit to the right impossible to play. The unique part of the hole comes as you approach the green. To cross the creek, rather than having a traditional wood bridge, the course designer crafted a bridge from an old rail car, which explains its nickname as the "Boxcar" hole.

Not worth the $91 dollars to play it. Golf course is in terrible shape , one of the worst courses I’ve played in Indio. Will not return

Tough pin settings that day

Enjoyed the round. Pins were behind bunkers on several shots adding a good challenge. Wind picked up final 4 holes but good playing conditions otherwise.

Was disappointed with course conditions. The bunkers and fairways have not been cared for at all. It’s really too bad because the track there is really good.

The golf course is in fair condition. The 2 staff members in the pro shop were very nonchalant and acted like I was a nuisance to them. however, the cart people were nice. The starter was also a very nice gentleman.

Pete Dye Course but very poorly maintained

Challenging course if properly maintained like it was when I played it a few years ago. Course has really gone downhill. Poorly watered, bunkers have gone to weeds, greens aren’t too bad though.

Play Terra Lago North not South

We played Terra Lago North about 10 years ago & really enjoyed it. Yesterday we played the South course & did not enjoy it. It was not in particularly good shape. It looks as if there were to be fairway bunkers but then decided not to & let the holes fill in with weeds. They should all be GUR. When we went into the clubhouse after our round to have a drink & a snack there was no one there to acknowledge or serve you so we left. Not very good value.

Big changes at Terra Lago

Hadn’t played the course in 4yrs due to pace of play. Decided to give it another try because we could use a coupon on Golf Now to bring the rate to $57.50 for a round starting at noon. Good news we started on time. Pace of play was great even with having to wait on each hole on the front Nine of the south course. Sadly the fairway conditions were only fair, spotty grass . The desert conditions were terrible - looked like dirt - the greens were only slightly better. Lost my ball in a crevasse on one of the edges of a green. The bunkers are like cement .

Inside the clubhouse the dining room has been converted to a banquet room, so sad as this was a great restaurant . the pro shop is half its size and the other half is now a coffee shop.

Water fountains on the course were closed .

I won’t return no matter what the price tom9lay.

Staff was rude

The north course was great.

The staff were rude and very disrespectful of the golfers

Zero refreshments and I played 2 rounds and only saw the cart person 1 time and it was at the 18th hole.

I would have recommended this course because the north course is nice but I won’t now because of the staff.

Dump

The place has gone so downhill in the last few years the owners have let it go to the point I would never play again and the price is ridiculous for such a terrible course!!

Concrete bunkers bare fairways

Take it off the list.

DON'T BOTHER

Having not played this course for a few years, we opted to play it, to see if was worth the cost, which is lower rate than the North Course.

The Greens were very good, and the short rough around them, and the fairways about average, but the sand pits were 80% hard dirt, and the fringe inside and around them, filled with weeds and grasses that prevented swinging in them.

When we tried to take our cart after the Front, back to the Club House to buy some Beer (the Snack Bar was NOT open) at the Turn.......they had the carts programmed to NOT allow you to do that. VERY Disappointing.

We won't be playing it again.

Interesting layout

Fairways just OK. Greens good. Not a surplus of rakes in sand traps. Some traps not looked after. Only saw cart lady once with a limited supply.

Underrated

I actually played the North Course, which is a very difficult, but excellent design. I've played hundreds of courses and this one is seriously underrated and undersloped. From the Black tees, I agree with the 74.1 rating, but the slope should be 141, at least. From the Gold tees, the 71.5 rating is ridiculous with the green complexes as difficult as they are. The rating from these tees should be at least 72.5 and the slope should be 134 minimum. The course difficulty is the reason the pace of play is slow, Even single-digit handicappers have their hands full with this design. As a full-time local resident, I consider the North course as good as most in the valley; the South is a different story, however, both in terms of design and condition.
