Anaheim Hills Public Country Club

What a beautiful challenging layout. First time playing here and I struggled but it was enjoyable. Was sad to see the 15th hole ( I believe it was) under repair as that seem to be signature hole (1/19/21) but I can understand why. The greens run quick & made a few misjudgments on a couple holes. Tough as I mentioned before. The elevation changes are dynamic. Can’t wait to play here again. Thank you

Greens in great shape. Interesting and fun layout. You’ll lose some balls. Blind holes. 4.5 hours midweek not bad.

Up, down, around. Good times playing this hilly course. Loved the greens. The break down the hill is awesome and speed is great. Will play here again. 75° no wind helps.

A lot of blind corner shots, really fun and challenging

I like the course, although I have to drive an hour. It's like a resort course with uphill and downhill shots. Quite a memorable course.

However,, I strongly recommend that they place color pins on greens indicating front, center and back such as red, white and blue instead of just white pins. Pin placements are deceiving unless player's eyesight is extremely good.

Further, as many people are playing golf these days, some patches and dirts are visible.

All in all, you need to play there to have the level of your skills tested. Almost all clubs are required to use. Greens are are fast and the green speed varies at holes that careless shots may easily end up with double- or triple bogeys.

Anaheim Hills is set among hilly canyons. This course requires you to think about each shot, some of the par 5’s are fairly short and not necessarily driver off the tee, downhill par 3’s require a slope adjusting range finder or good judgement to decide what club to hit. The elevation change on most holes is quite dramatic requiring shots from elevated tees or steeply uphill approach shots and I don’t recall having a level lie all day. Some holes have beautiful vistas overlooking the course. On the day I played the greens were lightning quick and in excellent condition and given some of the sloping were very challenging. The condition of the fairways need some work, the grass is a bit patchy or non-existent in places. If I were playing again I would agree with my playing partners up front to play preferred lies. I personally wouldn’t want to play this course every week, but it’s a good change of pace to keep in your course rotation.

Forgot how much I liked playing this course. unfortunately the wind was blowing twenty plus mph.

Will be teeing up hear again when the the weather is more cooperative.

Nice up and down golf course, quiet challenging with well maintained narrow fairways and greens.

Great driving range and practice chipping and putting greens.

Challenging hilly course that demands accuracy off the tee. Small fast greens complete the challenge.

There should have been a marshall spending up play. The whole back nine especially was a lot of waiting. We also started about 30 minutes after our allotted tea time because there were no carts available. Poor scheduling management.
