Golfer Reviews
Just in line
First time here, course is congested, staffs are friendly, condition is just fair
We played at the Anaheim Hills Golf course for the first time today and enjoyed the course. It wasn't a long course, but we had a fun playing. We were greeted by very friendly pro shop employee when we checked in and the pace of play was great, 3 1/2 hours to play 18 holes. The greens were in good shape, but bit slow. Thank you for a great golfing day!
Be prepared for flying golf balls into your tee box
Like many of the reviews previously written on this course,, be prepared for narrow fairways, elevated tees, blind corners. Pace of play was very slow on the Saturday we played (6 hours). You are in danger of getting hit by errant balls on some tee boxes and fairways given the layout. Worse example, , we were driving up to our balls on the green on hole 18 and someone teeing off on hole 10 sent a ball smashing into our cart.
I think if it wasn’t so crowded it might have been a decent experience with the back 9 reminding me of many Temecula courses. But I would not be coming back unless you can golf in a football helmet.
Challenging and varied design
Very entertaining and challenging design. Sharp dog legs, extremely elevated tee boxes, well placed bunkers and tree obsstructions. Very fun to play. Greens ran true though a bit on slower side.
Wow
Good course, but pace of play was horrible. 5+ hours for our round. Quite honestly, I am surprised that we stayed to finish our round. Double stacked at multiple tees. Course was in good condition. Course staff were friendly. Way too long for a round, though.
Nice Course
Challenging and serene, Anaheim Hills proves that quality golf can be affordable. Excellent turf conditions and setting in the hills. This is an excellent golf course, friendly staff and a beautiful new club house. Greens here can be really tough!
The club house was nice and we're so exited when we got there but the the golf course was not that great. The course setting is to close. The balls came from most holes to our holes. It was so scared. Though my friend got hit the ball on her hand but we didn't know where the ball came from.
Slow play
Because some people are MEMBERS they think they can play at their own pace!
No marshal on duty to chase people along.
It was painfully slow!!!!
Fun course
Greens were terrific, small, receptive, roll nice and quick , not too many straight putts. First time player struggled with many blind tee shots. Fairly tight with a lot of trees to be found. GPS was helpful, starter also tried to offer advice. Dramatic elevation changes really make the first time playing difficult. Not very long but not an easy round either. Fairways are a little bare, but on par with Southern California public golf. Will definitely play again
Challenging Resort-course Type
This course always offers some challenges, including the fast green speed. I like it except when gusty winds are blowing mostly in the winter. Whenever I play there, I feel like playing at a resort course. Strong recommendation!
Woah woah woah where did my day go?
Course is in great condition and will be even better in a few weeks. This was my second time playing. Both experiences were dreadful. The pace of play is so slow here and although notifying staff over 5 times they did not have any influence over that changing. Weekends it’s a little more expected but Monday I did not expect to take 5 1/2 hours to play. I can finish a round in about 2 1/2 hours. Worth playing once but I won’t be back and neither will anyone in my foursome.
