North at Los Serranos Golf & Country Club
About
Los Serranos Country Club boasts two championship golf courses, the North and South. The courses sprawl across 300 acres that are a part of the Don Lugo Spanish Land Grant. Both courses offer a different round from one another, allowing players of all skill levels to find something to their liking at Los Serranos. Los Serranos' North golf course is the shorter of the two measuring in at just under 6,700 yards but every course in southern California can make that claim since the South Course boasts the Jack's Black tees, which make it the area's longest course. The North Course was designed with all skill levels in mind. It is more player-friendly than the South but there are still challenges in store thanks to strategically placed Scottish-style bunkers and tight fairways bordered by rough.

turn off the sprinklers
Start by stating had a 6:15 tee time, at 6:20 there were 5 people on the first tee ahead of us... 2 some and a 3 some. So we made the decision to move to the South course where nobody was on the tee.
Had to fight sprinklers spraying the fairways on at least 3 tee shots. Twice sprinklers were turned off as we approached, the third time sprinklers stayed on... and of course my shot landed in middle of the spray.
I find it hard to believe the sprinklers can't spray during the sleeping hours overnight? Very frustrating.
Will Play Again
I have played the=is courses numerous time but moved out of the area so I have not played it in a while. The course was in excellent condition. You better have your game in shape!
4some afternoon tee time, dirty cart!
First time playing the north course, only played south course twice. Good course to play overall. But ran out of carts, the cart we received was hosed down but dirty. Had cigarettes, and trail mix in cup holders. Boys in the back obviously needs to do a better job cleaning them.
Tough but fun
Small greens and some long holes .... in great shape and use every club in the bag.... once we got a marshal to make a 5 some let us play through (6 holes)... pace of play was wonderful.
Great Course But Watch Out For Tournaments
This is an interesting and challenging course for players of all levels. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were not in spectacular condition but above average for a course of this caliber. The staff were friendly and helpful, reminding me that our tee time was directly behind a large tournament and offering the South course as an alternative. I really wanted to play this course but ended up regretting that choice as I had forgotten what a 5 1/2 hour round felt like. I will listen to the staff next time.
course has removed the gps from the golf carts. there are no markers on the course other than the 100, 150, 200, 250 stakes, if any. this is very frustrating.
Bring your A game
I really liked the layout of this track. Lots of holes well protected by pristine bunkers. Greens are fast severely sloped on many holes. The pace of play was good for a Sunday. I will definitely be coming back!
Course held up well after the rains but greens were still rock hard . . . There was standing water in several of the bunkers. Several tee boxes could use some work.
Still a fun day
Golfers Beware!!!
Our tee time was booked for a foursome but we only had three players when we checked in for our round of golf in their pro shop. Guess what...They had the NERVE to charge my credit card a few days later, through the GolfNow website, for the fourth player when I was told by the counter person in their pro shop they wouldn't. The course itself is nice but NOT WORTH $60.00 for the North course. In addition, charging $70.00 to play the South course, which we played a week later, surely is not worth that price either. The pace of play on both courses are very slow. Also, we weren’t allowed to tee off until 45 to 60 minutes beyond our original starting tee time. This always seems to be the norm at this course. If you're want to pay around $60.00 to $70.00 dollars for a round of golf...In my opinion, your money would be way better spent playing Goose Creek, Sierra Lakes, Oak Quarry, Eagle Glen or any of the many other better golf courses in the area.
Buyer BEWARE!
