Redhawk Golf Club
About
Redhawk Golf Club is one of California's 10 best public courses. Located on the outskirts of San Diego in Temecula, the course is home to one of the southern California's only island greens. The layout is challenging no matter what your skill level but it is still immensely enjoyable. The golf course features dramatic elevation changes, narrows fairways that demand accuracy, and multi-tiered greens that are well conditioned. There is ample water on the course but its use feels natural rather than arbitrary. The numerous strategically placed bunkers are equally as challenging, if not more so than the water hazards. Every club in the bag will see some use at Redhawk Golf Club. From the elevated tees, golfers can enjoy views of the surrounding vineyards for some scenic respite from this formidable test.

Used to Be Better
The greens were pretty chewed up due either to poor maintenance or inconsiderate players ahead of us (this was an afternoon round). Bunkers are in horrible condition. Grass in the rough is too long to find your ball. Found discarded range balls around the course. This was once a premium course; not so much any more.
Yardage markers
Difficult to find markers on the fairways , carts don’t have gps. And when they are located, the labels are worn out. Most courses also have the approximate distance on sprinkler heads….just saying
Great value
The course was in very good shape
The staff was wonderful
I can’t wait to play here again
Don’t go on mow day…
Every hole had workers on it. Cutting the rough grass and the clippings just left where they were. Makes it hard to find any wayward ball. Pace of play was ok. Great course, just went on a maintenance day.
Beautiful
Starting with the wonderful ambience of rushing water at the range and putting green you are treated to a beautiful layout and conditions. I was really impressed. The tunnels have touches that make it look like rock. Good job to all the workers!
In excellent condition
This was probably our fourth time playing Redhawk in the last eight years. The course was in the best condition we have ever seen, it was almost magical. My husband and I kept thinking this is unreal, just beautiful and peaceful. It was a very hot day, but the breeze that came through probably dropped the temperature 10 degrees. It is a long drive for us, but maybe we'll find an excuse to come back more often.
Beautiful condition
From box to green we’ll maintained. Beautiful fairways with impeccable lies all day. Will play again and recommend.
Great conditions
With the recent rains the course is green and the grass perfect for hitting off the fairways. Stay out of the rough because it is high and tough to get out of. The greens were rolling pure.
Best golf course for the price!
Redhawk is in its best shape in years I've been playing the course except from some bunkers that needed more sand. The fairways & greens are much much better shape than golf courses than more expensive courses in the area. The staff is very nice & the restaurant is very reasonable. It is my favorite course to play in Temecula area.
We apologize for the poor condition you experienced during your round of golf. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration to improve our maintenance and player behavior. Thank you for leaving a review.
