About
Redhawk Golf Club is one of California's 10 best public courses. Located on the outskirts of San Diego in Temecula, the course is home to one of the southern California's only island greens. The layout is challenging no matter what your skill level but it is still immensely enjoyable. The golf course features dramatic elevation changes, narrows fairways that demand accuracy, and multi-tiered greens that are well conditioned. There is ample water on the course but its use feels natural rather than arbitrary. The numerous strategically placed bunkers are equally as challenging, if not more so than the water hazards. Every club in the bag will see some use at Redhawk Golf Club. From the elevated tees, golfers can enjoy views of the surrounding vineyards for some scenic respite from this formidable test.

Friendly staffers
Course condition is dramatically improved recently.
Thanks for maintenance.
Found to be good
They have lots of course maintenance, so all tee colors are at a tee ground in many tee ground.
Poor conditions not told upfront
The course was in poor condition at most tee boxes. Tee boxes were moved up in most cases to a forward tee. Did not get a true round from the blues. No way for me to record a score to my handicap. Would have been nice to know upfront so I could have booked elsewhere
Selected wrong date and within seconds tried to cancel
Tried to cancel but the ap would not let me even though the policy shows I could. Not user friendly

Those kids!
Although the spacing between tee times has worked most of the time, today, we had an issue with the Great Oak high school golf team. We (2 players) had a tee time of 3:50, as soon as we got to hole #2, there were 2 kids teeing off (walking their bags). I asked them what time their tee time was, at which time they replied to talk to their coach who was in hole #4. At that point, we realized that we were behind a parade of approximately 10-12 students. Their tee time was 30 minutes before ours and they were still teeing off. It is now 4:10 and we are still waiting! We called the pro-shop to inform them. They had us start on the back 9, at which point, we were now behind a parade of 4-6 person groups, all backed up.
We headed back in and just practiced our chipping. They took care of us at the pro-shop.
We play at Redhawk pretty often, and honestly, this is the first time this has happened. It is a beautiful layout and we will be back but, you can bet that I will be asking who is before me from now on.

This course looks like it’s seen better days.
Save your money. It’s over price for the condition it’s in. The pace is a slow as I have been on in a long time over five hours to finish. Fairways and greens are marginal at best it rough it’s just a dog track.

Enjoyable round
A perfect for golf. Course condition only rated average
because greens are recovering from aeration. Otherwise
the course is in good shape and a great track.
Pretty solid
Most of the reviews I’ve seen is about the greens there is only one green that is bad.
repairs
the greens are well taken care of, however the course requires general maintenance / lawns must be mowed, excess grass trimmings must be removed, and tree debris must be removed, and all signs must be replaced. Change personnels moody contentions to a smile and welcome attitude.
