Pace of play
The course was fine as usual. We played out round in 4 hours, posted pace of play was 430. We were hassled and hit into by the twosome behind us multiple times. It was not our fault that the two groups in front of us quit at the turn. That was my only frustration of the round.
Something was messed up
Booked round on 7/2 for 7/6....was a hot deal—-$25 CART INCLUDED—-but at check-in was told all online bookings are walking only so Cary would be $30—-didn’t wanna raise a ruckus so just paid it——but I KNOW it said cart included on the site....
False Information on Carts
Booked a reservation that included cart and then I read the reviews on how the course plays and realized I should call and ask to make sure it includes a cart. Spoke with Paul and he said it is an extra $15 each player. This information needs to be fixed on this website or else customers will continue to be frustrated with this course.
Mission Trails local cheap golf
Playing here since 2009, same reliable cheap golf this whole time, a local standby.
I play Torrey or Singing Hills or Coronado when I want a picturesque course.
Some scruffy areas but still a great deal for $23 walking fee !
A good time
Longtime Mission Trails golfers know that you're never quite sure what going to get out there. This time, we were happy to get fairly good conditions. Greens were in good shape and rolled nice. You're always going to get the spotty lie in the fairway, especially on the front nine, but we didn't get anything too bad. Bunkers are bad, but there are a number of courses in the county with the same problem after the shutdown. Really concerned about how long it's going to take some of them to maintain their bunkers again. What was really surprising -- and good! -- was the pace of play at mid-day on a Friday. Groups were nicely spaced and we didn't have any backups.
Money well spent
The pace of play and the staff were excellent, considering the Covid 19 restrictions. Be prepared to walk, not an easy walk.
The course was in really poor condition, I wasn't expecting for the course to be in a super awesome condition giving the current circumstances that wer're living , but it seems like no one did anything or much on the fairways, however the greens were in good shape
The guy at the Club house was very rude, a complete a......
No customer service at all
He refused to honor Golf Nows booking that included the cart, he said that they were charging extra for the carts, I offered to show him my email with the reservation so that he could see that in fact included the cart
he's response was " I don't care what's in that email
Golf Now should not do that"
This was the last time a set foot in this course, is bad enough that the course is in bad shape, but having to a....... like that guy
Better management needed!
I'm disabled. When I booked my tee time it said cart included. When I got there they said it's walking only. No apologies were given. I doubt I ever play there again!
Love this place
The trails is playing nice right now. Rough is brutal and fairways are a bit shaggy but greens are solid
No carts
I made a tee time for my foursome on GolfNow. It clearly said cart included. I wouldn’t have booked it otherwise. When I got there the guy said there are no carts. I explained that my tee time said with cart. He rudely told me that everyone knows there are no carts. This is not true. I played 2 days before at Enagic with cart. When I showed him my reservation he said that GolfNow shows carts are available but they’re not. I suggested that since they were aware of this problem, a text or email telling me before we got to the course would have been nice. He again rudely and without apology said that everyone knows there are no carts. Horrible customer service!
Course by the lake is so nice!
I like the back side of this course a lot. Overall I enjoy paying here.
Golf Carts
They need to invest in adding more carts and or repairing was there now. Vinyl on seats are ripped or falling apart.
Always running short on carts, seems that I always have to wait for
a cart and then share, as well. Don't mind sharing if the person I'm playing with doesn't reek of pot. The greens are certainly in a very good shape, everyone that I played with really enjoy their putting. The tee boxes can use a little more tlc.
Slow but cheap
Jose in the pro shop was very nice, more pleasant to deal with than the guy who is normally working! This course is a good value for the money but for some reason they cannot figure out the pace of play. Very slow most days and usually can’t finish a full round if you don’t start by 11am.
Do not use golf now for reservations
Course lost my reservations and golfnow still has charged me for play.
Course is beat up and wet. Drainage is working overtime. Some oversaturated wet areas. Greens are slowish but pretty nice. Tee boxes are beat.
You get what you pay for.
needs new management
Mission Trails is a course that gets a lot of play. The condition is fair but better than it was in the past. Bunkers and greens improved. Still a lot of hardpan called fairways. The staff in the shop are annoying. They won't issue you a cart until your tee time. So you have to carry your bag down the hill to the range, then back up the hill to get a cart but not until your time to tee off. The starter, Hugo, is the only employee who can spell guest services. We drove by a lot of courses to get to Mission Trails. Next time, we'll stop at one of those courses instead, We want to spend our money where we are appreciated. Not at Mission Trails.
