friendly and accommodating staff, we showed up day early for our T time. Greens were great, fairways were a little dry. Course was great value.
Friendly and attentive staff, greens super, fairways a little dry.
Good value
Short course requires shot making
This is a fairly short course that requires shot making skills. The greens are relatively small and surrounded by faily thick burmuda grass, so getting up and down is challanging for most. The course winds through the canyon and provides a variety of holes. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the pace of play is good and there are "ambassadors" on the course to provide assistance and keep things moving. Overall not a tough layout, but fun. The course and greens are in great shape and the greens are consistent with regards to speed.
Great round spoiled by slow play and intrusive starter
Great neighborhood course for practice or a casual round. Greens are in great shape and it is obvious AG has spent some money maintaining and improving the course. Slow play spoiled the round for my group--Marshall was ineffective in moving the group ahead along to keep up with group in front of them. Pace would have been under 4 hours if the group ahead was encouraged to keep up. Starter was obnoxious, loud and distracting with continual announcements from the starting booth.
Fun course at a great price
Mission Trails is a fun course with two distinctly different nines. The front is compact and short set in a valley alongside Navaho Rd. The back is more scenic and spread out with some great views above Lake Murray. Some of the fairways on the front have some trouble spots but the greens, although tricky, are in great shape. The staff is very friendly and the Marshal's always come by with their water jugs. A well placed grill above the 10th tee has great food. Can't beat an $18 weekday "hot deal" on a fun course!
consistently good value
Teed off on time, pace of play very good, greens in very good shape this time of year when greens are punched. Great range.
At the very least a once a year course
Great course for an ageing duffer like me. Has many challenging holes playing from the back tees. Could have benefited from using a lower lofted driver to get under the blustery conditions. Generally just a great value.
Fun layout.
What's to say, it's a decent course, fun layout. Good prictice area, and fair pricing. We play here regulary.
fairways below average condition. greens good, tee boxes pretty messy.... fun round friendly staff.
Ok for the money. Early morning tee time. Mostly everyone rode in carts. I was the only walker. Fairways pretty chewed up as were the tee boxes. Greens were in decent shape.
good green!!!
good fild & green.
i want next time again play.
so my friend recommend.
Value Course
Course is in good shape, greens in great shape. Only bad thing I have to say is the pace of play is always bad, very bad. You will most likely wait 30-40 minutes at the turn on average, and substantial waits at each tee.
SLOW!!
The course was in fair shape, and I did enjoy the staff, but five hours forty five minutes, even for a Sunday, is riduculous. We played behind a fivesome, which should never be allowed. Although it was a little cheaper than where I usually play, I didn't feel it was worth it.
Under maintenance but still fun
Currently the front nine is under maintenance but overall the course is still fun to play on. I will be going back to play there once they are done with the maintenance.
Funky front 9---great back 9
Mission Trails is an interesting course. It has some great holes on both the front and the back, but the front is marred by way too many concrete ditches that crisscross the fairways in the strangest places. The course, even from the back tees, is very short and there are multiple par 4's under 300 yards. The back 9 is a different story. Though still on the short side, the holes are beautifully laid out, with beautiful views of Lake Murray on many holes. Though it's probably not possible, if they could make the front 9 like the back 9, they'd really have something here. Still a fun course.
This course is spread out and has great views of Lake Murray!
I played Mission Trails in a foursome with two of my buddies and a fella named Bill. The only negative aspect of the course I experienced were the slow greens. Other than that, the course was well-maintained, and the par 3's were pleasantly challenging since they were either situated atop a hill or at the bottom of a hill. It was a fun place to play golf.
We took advantage of the earlier tee time that was offered us! The course is challenging with excellent greens, fairways, tee boxes, carts, lunch!
Sweet with no glitches! Cart&fees were awesome and true! Green and perfect shape....we were fast and furious...took eighteen in 3hrs. Highly recommend this track! Overall impeccable experience with staff and cost friendly!
Worst course I have ever played
Don't understand the 3.5-star rating. I wouldn't even give it a 1-star except that's the minimum required. The conditions were deplorable, weeds and clover everywhere, bare spots too. We had a 9:00am tee time thinking we could pick up some breakfast and were told they had hot dogs and packaged danish. I paid for my wife, son and myself and spent $145 and felt ripped off. Would not recommend this course to anyone,
good vakue for the money
I didnt liked being paired up with smokers! I also had to leave on #15 but couldnt as i was partnered up which made me late for an appointment .I asked for my own carrt and was told no .I didn't like that. The pace of play that day was good although I was told the nickname there is mission snails not trails refering to the pace of play.It actually would have gone faster overall with my own cart anyway as I could have been hitting righ after my "partner" hit.I will plat the course again but only if I go with a friend.
second time playing all good
fairways are ok nice greens play with other three gus and have a great time
mission trails
I liked to course .I didnt like being paired up with guys who smoke.I also didnt like not be allowed to ride in my own cart as i needed to leave at a certain time and it was a hastle to be stuck in one cart.
CHeap and a good outing
I really enjoy this course, I have golfed here since I was a teenager with my dad and it seems to have only gotten better. The course is maintained very nicely and the staff is friendly and seem to enjoy what they are doing. The price, other than Carlton Oaks, you really cant get a better deal in San Diego. I will continue to be a customer here for a long time.
