A fun and fair course!
First time on this fun course. The personnel in the club house and lunch wagon were welcoming and friendly. The course is in good condition, creatively laid out and challenging but fair greens to putt. We will definitely return often.
Short course but quite challenging
Nice course, definitely value for money. Relatively short, but quite challenging with many dog legs and changing elevation. Green is very good, slippery and very tricky. Fairway is moderate to good, with thick rough which can penalized your errant shots. A bit difficult to gauge the distance with limited markers and changing elevation. Overall, I enjoyed the experience.
This course is great for the average golfer
Great course for beginner to intermidiate level. Price is reasonable for conditons of the course.
Great course for orice paid!
I played at a discounted rate and I have no regrets of this deal!!!
JUNE 20TH
I TOOK MY SON TO PLAY THERE THURSDAY, I HAVENT PLAYED MISSION TRAILS IN 15 YEARS. PRO SHOP STAFF WAS PRETTY DECENT. THE BAR TENDER GAVE SERVICE WITH A FROWN. I STILL GAVE A TIP FOR HER TROUBLE, SHE NEVER SAID THANKYOU AND THAT WAS TWICE I ORDERED FROM HER. WAS PAIRED UP WITH TO LAIDIES AND THE ROUND STARTED OUT FAIRLY PLEASANT TILL A PERSON BEHIND US STARTED HITTING INTO US. AT FIRST I THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT, TELL ABOUT THE FORTH TIME. NEVER YELLED FOR NEVER CAME UP TO SAY SORRY. JUST EXPECTED US TO MOVE FASTER BUT THERE WAS NO PLACE TO GO. THE OVER ALL COURSE IS NOT BAD THE SERVICE COULD HAVE BEEN A HOLE LOT NICER.
Excellant course for a beginner
First time I have scored less than 100. As someone who has golfed for over 25 years but only once or twice a year until this year, I found this course to allowed you to practice different shot types and clubs. The person I golfed with is an intermediate golfer and was trying clubs he would not normlly use but was able to because the length or the difficulty allowed him to.
This course is fun/interesting.
I have played this course on several occasions in the past 3 years and have noticed improvements in the conditions. The pace of play is still a problem when stuck behind inconsiderate golfers. Marshalls should get more involved if there are obvious inexperienced actions taking place to slow down play....like players continually hitting out of bounds and chasing their ball all over the place, and players 'socializing' over their putts.
Fun course for the price
Course was in decent condition. A fun track for the price. Some funky holes. Back nine more open than front.
good public course for the money
Layout is OK. Greens are normally good. Elevation changes. Some of the 4's are kinda short.
Back nine nicer then the front. 4 and 5 on the front are kinda funky.
Usually a good value.
Great Value for the money
This course has a lot of altitude changes, especially on the front 9.
There are parts of this course that need attention, especially just off the fairway, some of the fairways need a little water, but overall the course is a good play. The greens were looking really nice! Def a good value for the money.
Great course conditions
Mission Trails golf course is in the best shape I have ever seen it in the 2 years I have been golfing. That's definitely a tribute to the landscapers and workers who maintain it. The greens are perfect, which is not out of the norm, but the fairways as well are in great shape, clean and green. Can't wait to go back out.
Fun course for all skill levels
On the day we went the course was a little backed up so the speed of play was slow, but the course was in good condition and it was a fun round. Only complaint was the lack of a cart girl, especially for how busy it was on a weekday.
Nobody is pushing the slow groups.
I love the course and usually get a good discount. Greens have improved and a good middle of the road golf course.
friendly and accommodating staff, we showed up day early for our T time. Greens were great, fairways were a little dry. Course was great value.
Friendly and attentive staff, greens super, fairways a little dry.
Good value
Short course requires shot making
This is a fairly short course that requires shot making skills. The greens are relatively small and surrounded by faily thick burmuda grass, so getting up and down is challanging for most. The course winds through the canyon and provides a variety of holes. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the pace of play is good and there are "ambassadors" on the course to provide assistance and keep things moving. Overall not a tough layout, but fun. The course and greens are in great shape and the greens are consistent with regards to speed.
Great round spoiled by slow play and intrusive starter
Great neighborhood course for practice or a casual round. Greens are in great shape and it is obvious AG has spent some money maintaining and improving the course. Slow play spoiled the round for my group--Marshall was ineffective in moving the group ahead along to keep up with group in front of them. Pace would have been under 4 hours if the group ahead was encouraged to keep up. Starter was obnoxious, loud and distracting with continual announcements from the starting booth.
Fun course at a great price
Mission Trails is a fun course with two distinctly different nines. The front is compact and short set in a valley alongside Navaho Rd. The back is more scenic and spread out with some great views above Lake Murray. Some of the fairways on the front have some trouble spots but the greens, although tricky, are in great shape. The staff is very friendly and the Marshal's always come by with their water jugs. A well placed grill above the 10th tee has great food. Can't beat an $18 weekday "hot deal" on a fun course!
consistently good value
Teed off on time, pace of play very good, greens in very good shape this time of year when greens are punched. Great range.
