Empire Lakes Golf Course

Fun course to play but it will frustrate you at times.

Slow round due to holiday and shot gun start in AM. Played behind tournment. Fun layout but long carry to clear h2o. Would play again.

This course has beautiful lakes.
wide & big break practice putting green.
nice driving range & rates.
challenable long & winding & bumped par 5 hall.
220 yards par 3 hall along the lake sides
all courses (fairway & green) are well maintained.
restaurant crews are very kind & all foods are very reasonable prices. overall very satisfied. thanks.

Great layout, cool views, fun to play but the greens had quite a bit of problems and didn't roll that true. Had fun, but I don't understand the price tag for the quality of greens

Empire Lakes has always been one of my favorites. It has a championship layout that is challenging but fair. The greens are a bit hairy and a couple of the greens were infested with a disease a while back but now it seems they have recovered and are about 90% perfect. I recommend Empire Lakes for the more skilled players.

Good time. Challenging from the Blue tee. Less than 240 off the tee box play the Gold. Enjoyed the day though 5 hrs is a long time. Left smiling.

Excellent course. Would definitely recommend to others. Bunkers needed a little care, but overall, would play again!

The greens had just been punched and sanded 2 1/2 weeks before we played according to the staff. Some of the greens were immaculate, but many still had sand spot and areas that were still recovering from being punched. Only paid $32 for our morning tee time, played in 3 1/2 hours! We had two holes open ahead of us and two holes open behind us. Overall a great round, only downside was the greens.

I understand the fairways and tee box is reseeding but the greens are in terrible condition. It has to be one way or the other. for $45 it was too pricey for this condition. the course is worth maybe $25. This course is usually well maintain. I have played here many of times and never have had this condition. I will just stay away from here during Sept. and Oct.

The course is currently cart path only which wasn't noted here on the site and there were some sandy greens still. I'm sure the course looks great when in season and the price is twice as much. Overall fun course with some challenging holes.

I understood that the front was the only ones open, but we didn't realize that the workers with their carts would be working in the middle of the fairway on each hole. Our tee time was at 1132. We played 4 holes and left.
This was my first experience with Golf now, very disappointed.

Haven't played empire in years and I was so disappointed. it use to be my favorite course. Fairways were dead greens were spray painted just an overall horrible condition. After seeing one of my favorite courses like that I will not be returning.

About 4-5 greens are damaged, fairways are brown, bunkers did not have sand and still the same price. We complain to the staff and they were like "so what?" It looks like it will take some time to bring back everything.

This course at one time was one of the best values in Southern California. Played Sunday and the course was in the worst shape I have ever seen. Dirt fairways and chewed up greens. It was sad to see such a great course look like a dog patch.

The course is being prepared for overseeding and consequently not in very good shape. While it is expected for courses to go through this type of maintenance it is unreasonable to charge full price for an inferior product. In addition, it would have been helpful to know in advance the course was in a transitionary phase. In fact, the course's website indicates an "... impeccably maintained course ..."

Had a 6:55am tee time, arrived my usual 20 min. early for check in. Found several foursomes standing outside the clubhouse. There was no employee there to open? After a half hour of waiting finally an employee showed up at 7:05am. Was going to leave but thought i had better make sure I wouldn't be billed first. After speaking with the employee he assured me we would be off the first tee right away. We did, but the course was in horrible shape, the fairways were dead and had just seen the tiller. Fungus on most of the greens. You really should contact someone there charging 60+ dollars for this course is ridiculous. Wish I could be refunded. Not happy at all!

we should be advise of condition of course before booking. give us a choice of playing a different course.

Played here 9/25/2013 and the course is completely dry, greens are completely a mess and the lake has dead fish in it that really stinks! They start aeration next week and i'm sure the course will be looking much better in the coming up months. This is usually a really great course for the money, I think they are just getting ready to re seed everything. Scored my first hole in one today ,on the par 3 , 224 yard 17th hole! That made the course much better .

Maybe it was just because it was undergoing some maintenance, but I was very disappointed with this course. I chose it because a couple other nearby courses stated on their website that they were working on the greens. This one did not say that, but it turned out they were working on all of the fairways and they were in terrible shape. The greens and tee boxes were in ok shape, but the rest of it was very disappointing as it was hard and completely dried out and we had to wait for or hit around tractors on almost every fairway.
