Dispute of heavy rain , yesterday, greens and fairway was excellent !!

I’ve played Eagle Vines on a fairly regular basis over the last three years and the course is one of the best values in the greater Bay Area. It’s the most challenging course I play on a regular basis and is an absolute beast from the blue or black tees. I recently swallowed my pride and moved up to the whites and didn’t feel so beat up. It’s fairly friendly off the tees but is one of the toughest second shot courses in the area. The greens are always in good shape but overall course conditions are fair at best. They’ve let numerous tee boxes go to waste and playing the ball down in the fairways comes at your own peril. Expect tight scruffy lies off hardpan. The driving range is below average but the two practice putting greens are excellent. The restaurant is excellent and price friendly but the halfway house is average unless you like microwaved hot dogs. All in all - it’s a very challenging course in a nice setting at a good value.

First the good. The Fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Greens ran smooth and not too fast. The fog in the morning delayed our play but once clear the pace of play picked up. The carts could be modernized some. They could use GPS and the since it was cold in the morning the screens were hard to see out of.

Bunkers had sand in them and were maintained. I found myself in at least 3 bunkers for the day and found the bunker conditions very good with good sand. Not hard sand.

NOW the bad: The Blue Tee boxes were in real bad shape on some holes. The signature par 3 over water was a nice view and was a good challenge but the tee box was mostly mud and my playing partner hit his ball and got spat of mud in his face. Quite a few Blue tee boxes need to be repaired and with Grass. The worst tee box I saw tee box 10. If you play the blues or blacks be prepared to have some poor tee boxes come your way.

All in all this is a good course

Good condition, nice view and great course layout!

We had 4 groups on the first hole but the Marshal must have done something because I didn’t even see the two groups ahead of us after the second hole. We saw the marshal and I assumed he must have moved the groups forward.

If you're looking for scenery, wildlife, and a destination course don't miss out on Eagle Vines GC when in the Napa area. It's definitely worth the drive out to there.

The course was well maintained, had lots of variety on each hole, and wildlife everywhere. There were lots of birds of prey soaring the skies and cranes? on the course as well. Play was a little slow for a Monday noon tee time but the weather was perfect so everyone was out taking advantage of another day in paradise.

Love the course but they needed Marshalls out there when I last played. So many hackers spending so much time chasing golf balls 5 hour around just doesn't make for an enjoyable day. That said the course was in great shape Greens were good traps were good fairways were good always love this place.

This is probably the most badly designed golf course in California I think don’t waste your time playing this course the layout is very bad and it almost looks like challenging but it is not I will not play this course again it was disappointing

The pro shop support it’s really awful I don’t understand why people come and play here they’re not friendly and courteous at the same time they make a difficult your experience of playing this badly design course

There are many courses nearby that gives you great experience playing golf if you can avoid this do it cheers

This course is definitely worth the hour drive. It has a great layout with plenty of challenging holes and few straight forward easier holes. The greens were in great shape as well as most of the fairways. At least four or five of the tee boxes were in pretty bad shape, but not that big of deal. We did get yelled at by the marshal stating he was gonna kick us out if we went into the vineyard, which was kinda of ridiculous since we were just looking for a ball in the rough.

Restaurant had great food with excellent customer service.

Overall I will definitely return

Great time to get a few rounds of golf in the air are clean and clear and all the colors the fall have to offer not to mention the greens and the fairways are rolling well

Course in good shape normally, however the greens were recently aeriated and in very poor condition. Eagle Vines charged us full price, for these poor course conditions., Would have been nice if they would have mentioned these poor conditions (aeriated greens) when we booked and also provide some sort of discount to play in these conditions.
