Eagle Vines Vineyards & Golf Club is tucked away in the foothills of Napa Valley, offering one of the most scenic courses in the area. It is also considered by many locals to be one of the most challenging. Every hole on the golf course provides stunning views of the surrounding vineyards. The layout sprawls across gently rolling hills that weave through stands of mature cherry and oak trees, shimmering waterfalls, and meandering creeks. The golf course offers challenging multi-tiered greens and postage-stamp landing areas that demand well placed iron shots. The memorable seventh hole features an even more difficult island green. There are also some tricky fairways that seem much more open than they are. Eagle Vines numerous risk-reward opportunities that will have golfers using every club in their bag.

Slow Play on a Sunday Morning

8:50 am tee time. Played the first 3 holes at pace, then we hit the 4th tee box where we found another 4some waiting to hit, another in the fairway, and another on the green. Finished in 5 hours and 20 min. Saw the course marshal once after we called the pro shop. This was on the 9th hole. He informed us that he talked to the group two holes a head of us and "encouraged" them to speed up. Made no difference. 5 hours and 20 min. Ridiculous!

Foursome , two man scramble

It's the perfect course for our yearly 2 person team scramble for our core foursome. The world comes to Napa and we are locals. It's so fun to call this our home course for a yearly challenge for bragging rights . Spectacular design. Not a course for walkers unless you are young and fit , and it's not a hot day.

Changes have been good.

Over the last couple of years the course has seen better maintenance. All the sand traps been complete rebuilt around the greens, which are the best I've encountered in the general area. Now the tee boxes are also being maintained to insure flat surfaces and grass, whereas before they were very poorly taken care of.

Average Experience

Challenging course with water and force carries. The greens are narrow with undulations. Driving range is in need of repair. Same with golf carts - seats have rips and no GPS. Tee boxes are chewed up. Beautiful layout amongst the vines. You get what you pay for. Slightly better than neighbor Chardonnay GC.

Great layout. Nice course. A 10$ per player booking fee through Golfnow is preposterous. And no, I am not signing up for a golf pass at 99$ a year to book. I’ll use the cell phone next time.
