Eagle Vines Vineyards & Golf Club is tucked away in the foothills of Napa Valley, offering one of the most scenic courses in the area. It is also considered by many locals to be one of the most challenging. Every hole on the golf course provides stunning views of the surrounding vineyards. The layout sprawls across gently rolling hills that weave through stands of mature cherry and oak trees, shimmering waterfalls, and meandering creeks. The golf course offers challenging multi-tiered greens and postage-stamp landing areas that demand well placed iron shots. The memorable seventh hole features an even more difficult island green. There are also some tricky fairways that seem much more open than they are. Eagle Vines numerous risk-reward opportunities that will have golfers using every club in their bag.

Walkability

This is not a walkable course. Excessive distance on many holes from green to next tee box. Owners clearly want to discourage walkers. Revenue is in the carts.

Slow slow slow, but nice course

Finished 16 holes in 5 hours and had to bail to make other plans. No marshals keeping pace. That said, course is nice and in decent condition.

A little shaggy

Course was wet but no rain in a week or more. Cool mornings and fog lead to cart path only. course hadn't been cut in a while. The fairways (some) looked like 1st cut rough.

Memories aplenty

Been here many times over the years and played portions of the course even before it was separated from Chardonnay GC. Greens were a bit spotty, but, the tee boxes certainly need some serious attention. Still a good value for the wine country. Starting to show age and I still don't understand the re-routing rational. When willing to drive up from SF it is still a pleasant day of golf.

Tee Time Screw Up

Booked 12:09 tee time for myself. Entered the clubhouse at 11:47 to pay. Guy behind the counter informed me that the person I would be riding with had already picked up the cart. I assumed he was at the driving range and he would come by before we teed off. Unbeknownst to me, another guy who was late for an earlier tee time, just jumped in and stole my spot. I eventually was allowed to go out with another twosome, but several tee times later. Was only able to finish 14 holes.

I was very disappointed with how the clubhouse handled this. Very unprofessional. Didn’t feel like they were looking out for my best interest.
