St. Johns Golf Club

Course was sopping wet after several days of rain. No carts, (even tho paid for round with cart), walking only. Began to rain on 12 and continued throughout. No place for shelter and since no carts was a long way back to clubhouse. Course is probably very playable in better conditions but this day it was miserable. Would like to play it again when conditions are better.

played this course a few years ago and the improvement was a great!!!!! the fairways and greens were in great shape. the price from golf now was great also.

Love this course staff is great and the course is well maintained. Recommend to people looking to play in this area.

We LOVED this Course. We mostly play on the west coast of Florida. The condition of this course was awesome. The Staff was Great. Our Scores could always be better! But this Course was a Challenge but yet not to bad. When you stand on the tee of all the holes it was just a Breath taking beautiful course

I was very pleased with the course and condition. I played St Augustine Shores and Royal St Augustine the days before. This course was in so much better shape than those. From the greens to the rough. I will be in-town in February and will make the trip to St Johns Golf Club. I like the layout! Water comes into play on maybe seven holes.

I played Monday afternoon and the pace of play was excellent. Under three and half hours. The golf course was in very good shape. The greens were very good but just little bit slower than what I'm used to. The only negative was the condition of the rough. It was uneven. It ranged from very good to poor. Sand traps are very good. The sand is light and fluffy which I like.

Staff great here played nine early, and then they made it possible for me to hit back nine later in the day. They really treat you great here.

Course was in great shape, service was fair and can be friendlier, overall though I would play here again.

We are renting a Villa adjacent to the course, so finding the club/pro shop was not an issue. I had booked 2 ball via the 'Golf Now' web site.
Bought a bucket of balls to hit in the range and was a little concerned as the condition of the range area was not good. Not very well maintained. Was hoping that the course wasn't just like it.
Upon turning up on the 1st tee both of us were happy to see well maintained tee, fairway bunkers & green. This continued around the course to the 18th.
We paid $25 each, this included the buggy. And for that price we were pretty impressed. Were here for 2 weeks & will play here again

I have visited St. Augustine many times over the last 20 years since my parents moved there. This was the best round of golf I have ever had in St. Augustine. Well groomed and cared for fairways, greens and tee boxes.

The teeboxes and fairways are in great shape. The rough was in need of a cut, but it added to the difficulty. The greens had recently been seeded but most looked pretty good underneath the sand. The layout is very fun. You have a nice mix of holes, some very easy #1, #9 while others are quite a challenge #4 , #5, and #8 especially when the flag is over on the far left. Definitely worth a play.

Staff very friendly!! Good prices on Food and Drinks, need to put Sand on the Bunkers!! course will be for Aerification on Wednesday Aug 20th. will come back in 3 weeks!!

Good fairways, improved greens make this course value for money

Have not played in awhile. The fairways and greens were impeccable...tee boxes had weeds but did not affect play. Sad to see 9 holes shut down. But enjoyed my round.

really was pleased with the course. Had played some other courses that were on the budget price side for golf and had not been impressed but this course really surprised me in a very good way. Will definitely play again.

This summer's rains have filled in the bare spots, so the greens putt well but not fast. Rough is deeper in some places due to rapid growth: rain is good but rain can be bad for rough. Saw baby Gators in pond to left of first tee box, behind #9 green. Beware, because mom is around!

i went there one week and everything was immaculate. but due to lightning i only got 9 holes in. i went there the next week and things looked decent but was in need of a manicure. i feel like i got there the day before mowing day. the greens were mostly well kept. a couple of patches but nothing to complain about. it's hard to find better conditions without paying premium prices this summer. the greens at alot of courses are suffering from this summer's conditions this year in the jax/st. augustine area. this course is overall well kept but i couldn't give an excellent rating due to conditions dropping on my second visit.

We were treated like royalty. We got there when we thought our tee time was, but they had something different than what we had on our printout. They still were able to accommodate us with some waiting, but was not bad at all. The only thing I could say as a negative was the direction of the course was a bit hard to follow since you drive across a neighborhood, etc. The cart paths were not always clear and we literally had to ask a groundskeeper to help us. But the course itself was challenging and interesting. We are beginners so it was tough for us - if you are a beginner it will be tough for you.

The course has a nice design and some great holes. Conditions were good to very good with the exception of slow greens. Grass was very long and looked to not be cut in a week or more. I would play again but ask when the greens were cut last.

Price alway right and course always in great shape. Tee time and price are great deals.
