Ever since it debuted in 2003 and started earning raves for being one of Northwest Florida's premier courses. This semi-private layout is the star amenity of an 800-acre residential development that touches Choctawhatchee Bay. Robert C. Walker, formerly the lead architect of Arnold Palmer's design company, laid out Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club amidst a nature preserve near the south shore of the bay. While you'll feel the breezes as you play this stalwart of Florida's Emerald Coast region, the water views during the round are of the wetlands, streams and manmade lakes that lend beauty and challenge to the game here. Plenty of trees, bulkheads lining the hazards and bright white sand in the predominantly shallow bunkers add extra aesthetic panache when you play at Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club. With so much water and trouble all around, you'll need to execute numerous forced carries on your drives and approach shots. A couple of holes feature island-like fairways.
Regatta Bay Golf and Yacht Club delivers a classic brand of Florida target-style golf, though it's a challenge everyone can enjoy. Moderately skilled players will be relieved that some of the hazards and shot prospects seem more intimidating than they really are. The game at Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club comes to a crescendo finish. On the tricky par-4 16th you must avoid the water on the left and the marsh that crosses the fairway. While the redesigned 17th may be a drivable par 4 for long hitters, for most players the primary task is executing a forced-carry tee shot over water that finds the fairway in a spot short of the bunkers that intercede before the green. The finishing hole at Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club is a reachable ball 5 that hooks around a large lake with the green tucked hard by the hazard. It's the last test of a day of golf filled with strong and intriguing holes.
The club's extensive practice facilities include a golf academy with a canopy cover and a nice clubhouse with a lakefront restaurant that's ideal for winding down after your game. It's no wonder that Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club is such a popular place to play in golf-rich Destin.

A beautiful resort course in great condition. I played there 4 days in a row. Their fees were 50% less than what other courses charged, snd Regatta Bay is nicer!!.

Expensive for the quality
The course started off great but on the back nine, every other hole had a sprinkler running either on the tee box or the fairway. Greens were super inconsistent and super furry. Not what I expected after paying $200 green fee.

Condition was not what we were told
We contacted the course before booking and were told great condition. After getting there the staff told us again it was in amazing condition. Well if greens being repaired and tons of work going on then it is great but this round was a total waste of money! Extremely disappointing!
GO TO KELLY PLANTATION, at least they were honest about the condition of their course.
No course Marshall to monitor pace of play! We finished the clubhouse was closed, 6pm otherwise I would have ask for a refund.

Solid course
Very nice course. Layout was fun and challenging. Any level player can score here. Staff was GREAT. Their systems were down when I arrived and no one was grumpy and still more than helpful. Rented a set of Callaway mavriks and they played well

another day in the rain
The course was in the best shape I have ever seen it. Lots of rain recently does not help. The employee's especially the starter were excellent.
80% of the players here are not members, this does not sit well for me as a prior member of the club. slow play resulted from a group of youngsters who were not serious about keeping play moving

Great Course and Friendly Staff
From arrival to departure, everything at Regatta Bay was A+. The course was in great condition from tee to green. Challenging course where matching the correct tee box to ability is important to enjoying your round. Staff were attentive to details and helpful. I look forward to playing this course again.

Not too tough but not the easiest course. I only gave it 4 stars for condition because some of the cuts of cups were haggard and probably been there a while I’d assume.

Awesome course
Regatta Bay was in my Too 3 courses that I’ve played in the country or out of the country. Layout was so beautiful found a lot of the sand traps but overall great course.

Great shape and very friendly staff. Beverage cart was a little scarce. But after nine holes we did come back around to the clubhouse. Overall enjoyed our round.
