Highway Robbery
$65 for a golf course that has more standing water than a costal community. Tee boxes are dirt, trees are dead, golf carts are trash and no food or drink on a Sunday. Absolute wast of money and should be closed. Go elsewhere Scandia would be a better option. On shining star were the greens but everything else was terrible.
Good day
Greens in good condition. Friendly staff. Good time was had by all.
First time playing course as beginner
I am a beginner and played this course for the first time. I enjoyed the course. Open fairways helped me. Holes are right next to each other so we did have folks hitting into our fairway. Courses needed a little TLC, but for the price, it was great. Beautiful views all around.
2 buck Chuck close to being a rare wine
I played a lot of courses in the day and this course is quite fun. Requires accurate shots lots of water trees elevated greens. Greens were quite challenging I'd say they were about a 10 on the stem but you had to find the middle anything on the edge would roll off. Every tra p had sand. The only knock was that it's winter golf and they're letting the fairways go which is fine but I imagine if they re seed and make the course cart path only for a while this place would be a gem.
Not too pleased
Prices are fairly high as it's hard to find a discount. Everyone not going to work, playing golf instead. Does that account for a cart that only lasts 11 holes? Think not. Cheap, cheap set up at this course. Stay away.
Read the fine print on the booking Hot Deals with Golfnow.
my only complaint is 2 fold. Upon arriving at the Napa GC we we`re informed that golf carts we're an extra $18 per person and looking back on on reservation~that was not well stated. Secondly, the starter was not very friendly or accommodating. Almost rude.
Pretty good for a muni
Had a good time playing this course. Conditions were very mixed though. The fairways were majority grassy and in good shape, but it’s very much late fall/winter/lift-clean-replace conditions. Had drives that landed in the fairway or by the green that ended up covered in mud. Since it’s right by the river and built around the waterways, it doesn’t drain very well. Standing water in places. Tee boxes average. Greens were pretty good though. Somehow a little spongy but a decent speed. Pace was good - we were done in four hours. But we were also playing a weekday morning. Would play again, even though it’s probably $10-15 overpriced.
Great Local Public Course
I always have a great time....very down to earth and no pressure course
A golf course - really?
If you like funky golf, this is the course for you. Guys playing in baggy blue jeans. Over-watered, m,uddy in many places, while bone dry and grassless in many others. Tees torn up like they've never been maintained. Bumpy greens. Bunkers full of weeds and absolutely no one raking bunkers. Green, stinky standing water, ponds, and streams. I don't get it. Who are they catering to?
Help
Course is nice everything was good but pace of play. Not only here but most courses in area...we need marshals, please. We have been getting behind high handicap players who play from the blue tees hitting 100-150 yard drives and hitting more than 1 ball. Thet look back at you and it seems like they slow down even more....
Please course managers help us out, we have stopped play with 1 or 2 holes to go because of darkness.....
