If you are able to buy the GolfNow Hotdeal , it is a pre tty good deal. We paid $12/cart per player.
I played here several times in past years and some holes have poor fairway conditions, fairways on these holes have further deteriorated - believe due to the current drought. Except par 3 holes, holes 1, 2, 10, 11, 17 and 18 are still in good conditions.
Hard course, not well maintained
Course was pretty good overall, I think about 16 of the 18 holes have water hazards around or in them so it can be pretty challenging depending on how you choose to play your shots. My friend and I, however, noticed the vast amount of dry, dead patches on greens and even entire fairways on holes hosting dead or mostly dead grass. If they were able to simply water the course it would be a 4-5 star rating (then again, we are in the middle of a "drought") so I guess I'll give it a try sometime next year.
Great course for your money
This is a nice course in my hometown for the deals that the golf now app can get you. I played with two buddy's of mine for $12 each including green fees and a cart for 18 holes. Little windy at times but great course, mostly nice weather, friendly staff, and best deals in the area!
Great Value
Enjoyed a late afternoon, 18 holes in 2 3/4 hrs. Will do it again.
Great place to play
We got on at our wished for time on a beautiful Saturday. Started on time and played without delay the entire time. Course was in good condition except for one hole where they had some drainage issues and we had to trek through lots of mud to get to women's tee. (Was not obvious until we were already wet) Would love to play again any time. Instructor is the the BEST teacher EVER!
Played here many times and usually loose a lot of balls
Course was in good shape considering water shortage. A few places new the Napa River for some reason had some bare spots but the fairways for the most part were well taken care of. Play moved real well even though course was full.
Some things never change
Most of the holes are beautifully maintained. However, there are holes that have a lot of bare, hard dirt that have not changed in 14 years. There is one par 4 that use to be playable. Now, for several years it is a par 3 because the fairway doesn't drain and is constantly muddy. Another fairway now has another pond because it doesn't drain. They have a new banquet facility, though. It is still fun for me, but a very poor showing to a long-time local.
Excellent Course
Very nice layout and beautiful scenery. Very plush fairways and greens. Fairways are a bit tight and greens are a bit hard which makes this course quite challenging. Very nice course to play while the wives are touring the wineries in Napa! Had a great time and played this course two days in a row.
Amazed with this beautiful course
When me and my husband were still dating we went to Napa and discovered this golf course then he and his step dad started playing on this course.they loved it and now I love it.
It's kinda expensive but its worth that money.
Its very challenging for a beginner like me.
Good Muni
A good place for a casual round of golf. Fairways and greens were in good shape but there is some drainage issues throughout the course.
Napa course at Kennedy is a great day in the sun
This course is always making improvements. Very good place to play and enjoy the day.
1st timer
loved the course b/c it fit my 19 handicap game. great holes with lots of water. in some places too much water damage from flooding. biggest issue for me...no clear distance markers! missing lots of ball washers. and some traps have dirt instead of sand. but overall, the grass was thick, greens were great.
disappointed
I love the layout of this course but very disappointed in the amount of water still on the course having rained a week before.
And hole 9 remains the worst hole which feels like a swamp.
Overall large puddles of water remains along with a bad stench throughout the course.
Fun Course
Has everything I need in a golf course. Forces you to make golf shots.
Nice Napa course
I got a good weekend deal. Start was slow due to frost delay, put they got me out earlier then expected.
a few BEAR patches
a few bare patches near the greens makes for some difficult up and downs; otherwise i like to play this course occassionally to feel the bite of it's BOOT! Accuracy driving and approach is critical here... if you are short of these greens, there are plenty of camel hump greens to try to pitch and hold!
Oh, and PLEASE put more than 1/4" of sand in those greenside bunkers.
Fun course
I read other reviews that said this course was really tough? It wasn't ... Played in December so it wasn't in pristine shape but it was still pretty green .. Parts of the course get hit with more wind so the greens were kinda dried out but overall it was worth playing
Challenging course needing better upkeep
Napa Kennedy is a challenging course that will test your shot making skills. Over the last few years the course has lost much of its luster - as a lot of grassy areas have dried up into wasteland, and most bunkers need repair. I look forward to this course being kept up better under new management.
Decent Napa Golf
This course has a nice layout and feel with challenging holes and then some straight forward holes as well. There are definite end of summer fairway burns and the sand traps are rock hard but the greens roll true and the tee boxes are well kept.
I like this course enough and it's local so I will continue to play it regularly.
Much Improved
Conditions are much better than in 2011, especially on the greens and number nine fairway.
Unfortunately, the current management company HAS BEEN the management company for a long time. I believe they now have a new 10-year contract with the city. The first change was the new banquet center. The problems with the course are un-addressed. I'll be surprised to see needed changes on the golf course.
