Golf Now gives no disclaimer
So disappointing. Golf Now gave no indication holes were underwater. Only 11 out of 18 holes could be played. What a waste of money
Greens Are Perfect
You get what you pay for. This time year can be anything depending on weather. The colors of the course are beautiful.
And the greens were perfect yesterday. Best I’ve seen in 25 years.
I didn’t hit the sand traps but they looked fine. Also the tee boxes were very good.
Any complaints are not warranted. Great Muni with lots of character.
I still say make 14-15 middle a lateral hazzard though. May as well just let the river run Thru it…
Nice staff, good interesting layout , some holes needs improvement
This is muni course so I don't have any high expectation, BUT surprise about this course's design and layout...It is fun to play , except the condition of quite a few holes news improvement. (Basically too many brown spots on the fairway basically you play in the hardpan and the drainage needs improvement quite a few holes I saw a pond on the fairway and the wild geese is swimming in the ponds.
This would be a nice gem course in Napa if they keep up the maintenance and do some improvement.
I probably won't play here often (usually play HIdden Brooke, Eagle Vine and occasionally Chardonnay) but this is my new Backup Golf course...
Fairways need work
Pace was terribly slow. Round took us almost 5 hours. Greens were inconsistent and fairways had not grass. The whole course was practically ground under repair.
Fairways and Greens
Greens are good but fairways are times not in playable condition. At times the fairways have no grass at all and or too muddy..
Needs work
Generally the course is in decent shape, but needs some work in a few areas that are part of the path to various longer holes. My main complaint was the length of the grass just 5-10 feet off of the greens. On some greens you barely find your ball in the thick grass which make landing the the green required with your chips shots to even have a chance at a par. The grass just off the main fairway is too tall as well. I have played here 5 times and it is always the same so it was not that they just had not mowed recently. The course is tough enough not have that added challenge.
Good day out at the course
Played here for the first time in a year and it seems like the course is in better shape than the last I played here. I noticed that the bushes and reeds surrounding many of the water areas have been cut down and cleaned up which is nice.
Do you like crab grass and fairways that are dirt? Then this is the course for you.
No matter where I hit the ball, in the rough, in the fairway I did not encounter a single good lie. Half of the fairways are made of crab grass and most of them have gigantic areas, where the fairway should be, that are just baron wasteland style pits of dirt. The greens were the only semi-decent part of this course. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 was the greens and the pace of play. If you want to play quick(my round was 3 hours tops) then this might be the course for you, otherwise don't waste your money. A course that doesn't care for it's grass is a course that doesn't deserve your money.
