Crooked Cat at Orange County National

I just can’t deal with 5 hour rounds. I guess I’m private club spoiled. 5 hours ruined an amazing course.

They put in a GPS system and it needs work. I might as well just walked the course. Had to back up from 50 yards away . It;s a great course but I probably won't come back until next year. Maybe they will have the kinks worked out. Staff was great .

Crooked Cat is in good shape, greens are fast for Bermuda turf. Great practice range, short game zone and huge putting green. 5 sets.of tees so a solid test for players of any caliber. Pace of play is an issue, a tick under 5 hours to finish. I wish the Marshall was empowered to oblige slow groups to keep up to the group in front. Food needs improvement. Sandwiches are just not good, hot dogs off the rollers - meh ... I suggest starting early to avoid slow play and smudging in a decent sandwich for the turn.

Course is great. Love the layout. Unfortunately the pace of play was ridiculously bad. 5 hour round with no ranger. Unacceptable. I expect better management from this place. Definitely a better experience for its customers.

Fantastic day, nothing on the course to critique. Only negative thought I had all day was no balls on the range. Guys are paying $180+ to play and they are charging for range balls. But the facility is top notch.

Beautiful views, great greens, awesome setup. Challenging without crushing you, this course has many tees so you can compete with friends of all ages and skills. Really fun track, great time.

nearly perfect, played with 2 guys and an up and coming star in Ladies golf Yana Wilson who was very gracious the whole round as she crushed me on every tee..I have a memory to take home with me. OCN staff the best around. I got a great deal but was treated no differently

than someone who paid a lot more. tip of the cap.

writing the review while still in the field. It is unbelievable that three young players act as if the course belongs exclusively to them. Pace deliberately slowly, making the groups behind wait at every hole and every single shot. Marshall called several times and never showed up. We finished all the holes to find the unfriendly slow group still preparing to hit their drives from the tee with nobody in front of them

First ranger left a lot of hospitality on the table, We did not play slow but his approach could have been better

We were put out behind an international amateur tournament. Because of the slow play the day before we were told to start on # 10, we played 10 and 11 in 20 minutes when we got to 12 there were two foursomes waiting to tee off one foursome on the tee box one in the fairway and one on the green. After an hour and fifteen minutes we finished 12 and some of thirteen. We quit in frustration. There was no marshaling play was tortuously slow. We went to the pro shop and spoke to the manager. He said to contact Golfnow and he would authorize a refund. We have attempted this several times golf now said no one answers at the golf shop. We called several times the call are as frustrating as the extremely slow play at the course. To clarify it took 20 minutes to finish two holes and an hour and 15 minutes to play one and a half holes. Unacceptable

Course is long, tough, and in decent shape. Seemed they overseed fairways but not rough. Greens were good not great. Not a ton of water to drink on the course or lose a ball in. Cart girl did not come around quick. Glizzy at the turn was worse than mid. Clubhouse/proshop needs to be redone so bad. Two great courses and a 9 hole track well priced just needs to invest in the non golf aspects of the business.

Played Crooked Cat today and walked away very very impressed with both the course layout and the course conditions. The layout is awesome. It’s fairly wide open. The fairways are lined mainly by bunkers and trees that are spaced fairly well apart so there is a good chance for a recovery. The greens are pretty big and rolled smooth and at a good pace. Not as much break in them as you think there is. Also, especially for a Florida course there is ALOT of elevation change. Several holes that play pretty steeply up or down hill.

The course is also in great shape. Greens. Fairways and tees all in really really good condition. All in all it was an awesome round on a great course. And I highly recommend it.
