The Crooked Cat Course is one of two 18-hole regulation courses at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. The facility is also home to a nine-hole executive course. The Crooked Cat Course is a challenge with dramatic elevation changes and rolling fairways that are framed with mounding. The golf course has a links-style design with large, contoured greens and wide landing areas. Water hazards and several bunkers come into play throughout. There are also trees and native heather present on the course for a naturally beautiful atmosphere. Orange County National's Crooked Cat Course is favored among low handicappers due to its length and difficulty.

I have been playing this course since 2005 in Orlando. This is one of the worst conditions I have scene the course in. Usually both course are PRESTINE, but not right now. greens are beat up, dirt spots, lots of replace grass on greens. Not rolling like they usually do, bumpy, furry, dirt, new grass, just not like I am used to seeing at all. I will be back but probably give it 2-3 months till some of the new green has grown in. Not sure what happened???

Very disappointed that we didn’t even finish 4 holes before a heavy thunderstorm forced us to stop. Asked for a rain check at pro shop and was told that after 3 holes no rain checks are given but I could contact Golf Now and they might agree to issue a rain check for remaking holes. I felt that was very fair and started two open chats with Golf Now and received no response from either. I found the open chat to be a waste of time and the resolve to be “0” !

Loosing its luster...!!

I have played at OCN a number of times over 15 years and the course is showing its age. 5 green had significate repairs on them.... The Green teas were not great and need some work.

The clubhouse is showing its age and generally, the place looks tired... it has lost its luster.... it needs modernizing and some of the grounds improving.....

As a non-FL resident, the rates are far too high, there are better places to play for $105.... i!! I would not pay more than $65 .......

The only issue I had is that I wish the staff would’ve mentioned that the greens had been punched and sanded. The greens were really bad shape because of all the sand. For the $ paid it was disappointing. If not for that I believe the course would’ve been great.

Greens and Greenside rough is pretty.... rough

There’s some type of disease going through the greens and they’re in not great shape right now. Patchy and slow. Also — there’s a combination of mud and compacted soil in the rough just off the greens.

I don’t think this is normal for Orange County National — so I’d just recommend calling first to see if they’ve remedied these issues.

Nice Layout, Fun Course and Won’t Break the Bank

First time playing Crooked Cat but played Panther the sister course 3 years ago. The layout was fun and fair, course in good condition and pace of play was great. We had the course practically to ourselves perhaps because the storm from the day before scared golfers away. IDK. Few tough holes. #2 green is heavily guarded by bunkers. In #3, keep your tee ball to the right otherwise you are blocked despite being in the fairway. Back nine is tougher than front. Only rub is lots of bare areas around the course in areas that are not in play but it does take a little away from the experience. Still enjoyed it.

Challenging layout a must play with generous fairways

This golf only 36 hole layout hosted the Q school from years ago and recently the Korn Ferry tour finals. It is a MUST PLAY when you come to Orlando. The fairways are generous with bunkers strategically placed. The greens a re large with slope and two levels on several holes. They have repaired some greens recently and the grass is growing in, so a few spots are not ready yet.

I play this course about 2-3 times a month. The greens are in bad shape, they must have a disease on most of them. They are trying to fix them with new grass pads but for $55 it is not worth it just yet. Hopefully they will get better soon as I truly like both courses at Orange County Natl.
