Course is always muddy, sand traps not taken care of
Poor maintenance, no starter. Only saw cart girl one time
Great value
Good course, staying on the fairway is important. 2nd cut was a little long, difficult to find balls that ,is the fairway. I will play again
Amazing staff...course itself is "OK".
Other clubs could take a lesson from this staff. From the moment you step foot into the golf shop to finishing on the 18th...this staff makes you feel completely welcomed. The course manager even took the time to thank all of us for coming out. That said, I wish I could give a better rating for the course. It could use a littel attention to say the least. In their defense, it had rained for days on end and this was one of the few courses in the area allowing play. I would recommend going to get a solid practice round in. The staff themselves will get me to go back.
You would have to pay me to come back
This course was awful. Tee boxes were sand pits, greens were in rough shape, and the whole course was under water. They obviously have no drainage system. And it didnt help that the sprinkler system was on as well. Not to mention the 15 course workers driving all over the fairway at full speed tearing the course to pieces when we had to stay on the cart path all day. Overall very disappointed with my trip. Somebody would have to pay me to come back.
Course needs work
A beautiful day for golf. Practice facilities were in very poor condition. Course was extremely wet and muddy, but we had substantial rain over the previous few days. Course is tight with woods and water, some holes only require 3 woods or irons. A few severe doglegs, with that knowledge, I should have played differently. This could be a nice facility but it is in disrepair, weeds and over growth need to be addressed. I wouldn't go back.
Good value for the cost
The greens and fairways look good on this small, water-heavy course. But don't let the layout deceive you, there's a lot of water that isn't really in play if you're paying attention. Use some discipline off the tees (i.e., not driver in every case), and you'll be fine. Length of the course favors amateurs and seniors, and the scenery is gorgeous. Some of the tee boxes need work, but the course is in otherwise good shape.
A fair course for all abilities
The layout is a fair test for all golfers regardless of skill level. The fairways are always kept in good shape. They will be soft and wet during the summer months, so getting roll of the tee will be a challenge. The greens play fast in the winter and slow in the summer, again because of the weather. It's one of the few courses that have really nice white sand in the bunkers. For the price it's worth it.
the staff is working hard to maintain this course. the day I played they received over 3 inches of rain so the course was saturated.
Great layout. Tight. Well maintained. I will be back.
Great shape
Course has been in great shape the past couple of weeks. Scored a tee time for $15...cant beat that. The GPS devices on the carts makes reading the fairways a breeze. Go play, you wont be disappointed!
Great park style course for the price.
Other than the bumpy post-airated greens, that still played soft yet quick this is one of the better buys for 18 holes in N. TAMPA.
Course is very nice and in a nice area
I got one of the hot deals and was lucky to play full 18 holes for $9 and it was worth every penny, I would even pay full price to go back again. A few tee boxes could use some work, but as long as its not a par 3, it doesn't really matter because the ball will be teed up off the ground anyways. The only problem I ran into was one unfriendly resident that lived on the golf course. He got mad because I was looking for my ball that I accidentally sliced into his yard and told me to stay on the golf course, but that has nothing to do with the course at all. Another plus about this place was that, if you keep your yellow receipt that you show the starter, you can stop by the pub in the country club, called Mulligans, and get a couple brews between the front and back 9 for $2 a piece, which is a bargain. I definitely recommend this place, it will be worth every penny you spend, i guarantee it.
great course for the money
Pro: Well kept, gps in cart, low cost
Con: No driving range. Chipping / putting practice area has been under construction forever.
Always an enjoyable round of Golf
Such a beautiful course. The staff does a great job keeping it maintained. Highly recommended!
Poor greens and tee boxes
This course needs to lower thier rates for the poor greens and tees. We payed over $30 to play aerated greens and the course did not disclose them on Golf Now. Cart girl accused us of smuggling alcohol onto the course when she saw my Sprite can in the cup holder. She was rude and did not appologize. Will not play this one again.
Beautiful surroundings. Plenty of room between houses and course.
Good value and nice layout. Lots of water hazards along tight fairways. Although greens had recently been aerated, they were still in good shape. Lots of birds, alligators, etc.
Play was to slow for this time of year
Play was to slow for this time of year. I never played 5 hours in May except maybe Bloomingdale which I don't go to anymore.
Okay but...
Not as great as they used to be. Tee boxes especially need some work. Greens however remain mostly pristine as before. For the money, it's a great course to get your game on.
Great course
Enjoyed a Sunday afternoon. They have a ranger that keep things going and a friendly cart lady.
New carts & 6 players
They were in the process of setting up new cart so the GPS systems were not available and since there was no starter on duty we need up with a party of 6 in front of us. Coarse was fine just other players made it rough.
