Fair for a public course
Some of the tee boxes need attention and there are areas within the fair that need work. The greens on the other hand are in good attention and roll true.
This course was in great shape.
This challenging course was in beautiful shape; the greens were exceptional; we had a great time! I would recommend Pebble Creek to all my friends and family.
Reasonably tough, with great greens
Followed a weekly mens group out but still a good pace of play. Greens were in very good condition and course was a good challenge
An example of how to never manage a golf course.
Every weekend I try and get out to a new course and this one was next on my list with decent reviews and alleged GPS in their carts for a reasonable price. We called and asked if they had a range to warm up since their website claims they do but most sites say they do not. Guess what? They have batting cages with mats in front of them.. So no warm up for us.
Went in to pay for our round and to buy a beer, Was asked multiple questions from my I.D to confirm i was who i said i was (even though my credit card matched the name on the ID and im 25 years old) The other guy in the proshop had the nerve to say out loud "That ID looks fake" FINALLY they allowed me to pay and we exited to putt around until our tee time.
Pulled up to the first tee box and there was a line of 5 golf carts waiting to tee off....at out exact tee time. No ranger no starter nothing to maintain the speed of play. The first 9 holes where a nightmare of waiting. The drink cart actually DROVE PAST US and didn't even stop or acknowledge our existence on the course.
I'll end with this, as we pulled up to the 10th tee a group of 8 players.....8...Were in the process of teeing off. Laughing and joking hitting 2-3 balls a peice as the others flew into hazards and just having a riot....
THERE WHERE 7 CARTS BACKED UP BEHIND THESE PEOPLE.
10th tee is right in front of the proshop and no one made any attempt to remedy this problem.
The course wasnt that bad.
not all what i expected
the course is challenging, but not worth the money. The money their getting now, they need to put in on the course now.
Overbooked.
Everyone was very nice, and the course has improved since I last played it. The greens were extremely hard and fast, but rolling pretty true. Hard to stop the ball close, though. The price was right, but it was a Friday and we had four (4) groups on the first tee ahead of us at our designated tee time. Pace of play was just OK, and we finished in 4:15. It appears they must have a willingness to "work people in", which kind of negates the folks who take the time and trouble to book. All-in-all, not too bad though.
No tricks. Expect to play to your handicap or better.
No tricks. You can see the hazards. Greens fairly consistent. Good roll on fairways. Big difference in difficulty between white tees and yellow tees. Very pleasant.
The course provides a real challenge
Greens are in great shape and slope to the front most of the time. Course is tight in a lot of places but open when holes are longer.
It is worth it to try the course out
The tee boxes are in horrible shape. Tough to find grass to put the tee in the ground. Womens tee box on #10 especially, it is terrible. The pace was slow & there is not etiquette as to letting faster players play through. As to the good of the course ...it does have character & ball placement is a must if you want to stay out of trouble.
Enjoyed our round
Pace of play on front nine was slow...unsure why it picked up on the back nine, but it was a good thing....21/2 hours for front nine...just under 2 for the back nine.
Fast greens.....
Nice fairways, challenging because of the water all around the courses and also some interestingly placed sand bunkers.
Very nice scenic course
Challanging course with average speed greens. Lots of water but overall the fairways are quite wide. The course is in very nice shape except for a few tee boxes. We enjoyed it very much and will definitely be back.
Good course, slow play
The course was pretty good, although the tee boxes were pretty toast, and the beverage cart was out once during the 5.5 hours I was there. Overall I will golf here again and it is a nice course. Just don't book a time when they have a wedding going on on the 10th.
nice course lousy course management
As much as i liked the layout of this course i can't in good conscience recommend this course simply do to 1. OVER BOOKING !!! 2. NOT CARING THAT YOUR OVER BOOKING !! ( And when brought to the attention of the course manager his response was that its normal for this time of year and how they booked 1,300+ last week. I'm sorry but that is just not going to cut it for me. 3. Course and golf etiquette. ( also when brought to the attention of the course manager not only the slow play but groups dropping and hitting multiple balls, parking carts on both sides of the greens or leaving your cart in the middle of the fairway and walking 35 yards left in open fairway to hit your ball, or the best was the photo ops on every other hole, and the response was all of are rangers are volunteers. ?? on one hand your using the excuse that its your busy season and your booking all these tee times but then when things are out of hand you want to throw the guys who are volunteers under the bus ??? Not my kind of course . i am in no way a professional golfer, i play because i love the game but i know enough of what to do and not to do and how to conduct myself on the course to honestly say there's no way i'll play here again.
Interesting holes
Course was in good condition. Enjoyed the GPS on the cart
super
very very nice course, but also tricky with all the water in play. nice and friendly staff
course was good for abilities
The course had a lot of water but was mostly on the sides and only a problem from a bad shot.
good value
the course was in very good shape and was a good value. would deinately go back
Nice layout, user friendly.
Other than the pace of play being a little slow we enjoyed our day with good wide fairways to shoot at good grass and good greens.
Great Course, No Driving Range
The course was in great condition with beautiful fairways and great greens. Got there quite early when the temperature was about 40 degrees (a little too cold for my taste). It is kept in great shape, but they do not have a driving range, only a free driving cage. Either way, I would definitely play again. GO EARLY, LONG LINES AFTER 10 ON THE WEEKEND!
