Arthur Hills designed the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club to deliver a fun round that's tough to forget. Trees tower, landforms show subtly, and bunkers improve your golf skills. The par-72 golf course measures 6,903 yards, and has gained its renown by offering a design that requires strategy.
A round of golf on the Padre Course at the Camelback Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 446 yards from the black tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a par 5 that comes in at 553 yards from the black tees, one of four 500-plus-yard holes. The 18th hole is one of these: It's 547 yards from the black tee to the post-round celebration.
After your round on the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club, head to the Golf Grill, serving U.S. cuisine and a fancy Sunday brunch in the style of Southwestern country clubs. There's also a luxury lounge where you can spend winters on the patio by the fireplace.

Nice Course
While I prefer Ambiente, Padre offers a great golfing experience at a cheaper price. Although the rough is dried out because they didn't overseed that part of the course, the fairways and greens are in excellent condition; the best I have experience there. Recommended.
Nice, quick course, greens were not the best
Great challenging course, one of my best rounds of the year so far. Everything was great, minus the greens. Seemed to almost be painted rather than growing real grass, they were hard as concrete and VERY very fast. Only other complaint was very poor sand traps, inconsistent sand and not recently raked.
Thank you for your feedback. Our greens can definitely get very fast, so we understand that can be challenging. We are currently in the process of adding sand to our bunkers on Padre, so we hope you'll give it another chance.

Nice touches
Very welcoming. Nice explanation of the course. Courtesy range balls, complimentary water and cleaning towel were very nice. GPS was also very nice. When we had a slight interruption in play, we were offered more complimentary water. Course was beautiful and greens and tee boxes pristine. No excuse for my own poor play. Will play again

Great condition overall.
Greens were some of best from playing all year. Fairways were also in excellent shape. Challenging but fair and interesting layout.

Generous fairways, tough approaches
Our threesome played in under 4 hours. The greens were slick and crown shaped so being on the low side was essential to make par. Diverse holes; fun course. We all thought the 123 slope from the white tees understated the difficulty for us 11 handicappers, but no complaints.

Great Complex
Played both courses and chose this course because my wife wanted to play and an opening occurred around noon; and no Packer game on this Sunday.
Course was in excellent conditions, greens putted very well. Fairways, wonderful shape. Staff Excellent especially Tom the Ranger (Guest Services). Wonderful man did his job and keep the slower groups ahead moving along in a nice way. Constantly appraised us of what was going on in front of us. We played ready golf and he noticed that and did his best to keep things moving. Wonderful man, great job Tom. Will play this course again as well as the other course. Well worth the time to play, had a great time. Choose the right tees for your game and you will enjoy this course.

Beautiful course
Played here on Thanksgiving so pace of play was super fast. Course is in great condition. Interesting holes. Several short par 4 holes that pay a premium on distance control and shot making. Even the gold tees it was 6000 plus.

Great condition
Fairways were excellent greens were fast and true.Only downside was cart path only and its a long walk from some cart paths

Padre
The course was in good condition although it had been overseeded and was cart path only. The pace of play was great and the staff was extremely friendly and provided good service. The driving range is good and included in the price of green fee.

Cart path only
Cart Path only and was not listed on golf now. I did not enjoy that it was cart path only because of over seeding.

Padre Course
Great day playing yesterday at Camelback Golf Club! The Padre Course is the older of the two courses there. On the Scottsdale Rd side and has a park like setting.

Great Golf Outing
Had the opportunity to play Camelback Parde, great course. The greens were in great shape. All staff member were very friendly and helpful. Again great experience and will play again when I am back in Arizona.

Beautiful resort course (Padre)
Excellent condition, lots of lateral water, widely spaced tee choices, and the other course (Ambiente) is reported to be even better!

Golf Now has a fantastic system to enjoy high end courses st BARGIN rates ! The Padre course at CamelBack brought Me back twice in week . The layout is all right there in front of U & is still a test to play well. The staff there seem genuinely glad to see U & if I've enjoyed the day with them. Always cordial , even if it's a slow day for them in Summer. The Chuster , Ranger Tom & especially Ms. Vanessa are Quality staff . Big THANKS !

Great course
The Padre course gets less recognition than the Ambiente but it is still a great track.Pace of play was a little slow but still made it around in 4 1/2 hours.i will play this course again and again

Sharpen your hole cutter!
First time playing this course and made the drive from east Mesa area. Got a very good price of $26 to play. Course was in great shape except for the greens being to dry resulting in your ball not holding on approach shots. I normally hit a very high ball and I wasn't making any kind of divot on the greens. Also, the grounds crew either needs to sharpen their hole cutter or teach the guy how to cut holes. They looked like they hadn't had new holes cut for a month. A lot of puts that would normally drop on a crisp cut hole didn't because of such poorly cut edges.

Good Course Hot Day
Ive played the links style course they have there and wanted to try out this one. Overall i enjoyed the course. Its not the hardest course and there are a lot of opportunities to score. Unfortunately the heat got to me and i ended up shooting in the mid 80s. Honestly i cant wait to go back and shoot in the 70s. Its a fun course. The ambiente course is much harder, but if you are looking for a great fun course the makes you be strategic, this is a great course for that. Honestly this course is in tremendous shape for August in Az. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to play a good course and get taken care of. Customer service is very important to this course and it shows. Staff was friendly and is willing to go above and beyond.

This is a great place to play
Plenty of challenge, greens were excellent, and views are terrific. As a first-timer, ran into a couple of problems with mised fairways. Really enjoyed this course.
