Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course

The greens were in poor shape… very bumpy and uneven. The green fees should have been discounted.

I was really looking forward to playing this course. I had read many of the great reviews and had also played the "sister" Victory course a few years ago. The course was good condition after overseeding and I played the first day that carts were allowed back on the course.

What I liked: Fairways were spacious and in good condition - Pace of play was excellent (4 hours for this time of year is great) - Check in people were very friendly - Green complexes were large.

What I didn't think was great - The putting surfaces were poor. Very fast downhill and very slow uphill. Almost no grass on the surface. For this price and quality of course I would expect much better greens. Even after overseeding. Almost like they cut them too short before the grass had time to grow in. If the greens do not improve a lot, I would not pay this price to play here again. - Roughs either were not overseeded or were not watered enough and were brown. Even lower quality courses in the valley mostly overseed their roughs.

The course raves about it being one of the top 50 you can play in the US. I am not sure it is in the top 25 in the greater Phoenix area. There are a lot of area courses I would rather play.

I don't want to give the impression that the course is not good, only that I have a lot of experience playing many courses in the Phoenix area and this one did not jump out at me as a must play.

Round took 4:55. For this price I would expect the course to maintain pace of play

Wonderful amenities! From the moment you walk up you are treated kindly. Very well organized staff. Starter directs you to the practice range/green. From there, the starter will escort you to the 1st tee upon your tee time.

Course was wonderful. Stunning views! Fair yet challenging course with 5 sets of tee boxes. Greens were challenging, yet rolled true. Thank you Verrado GC!!!

All poeple we meet did a wounderfull job to made our day amazing. So the golf course(desert style) was in great conditions with beautyfull scenic views . MUST PLAY

We love this course and always look for deals. Golf Now showed $70 per player at 1:30 which already makes it challenging to finish before dark but the course was still under cart path only due to overseeding which was not indicated on the booking. We only got 13 holes in so the $70 deal didn’t seem like such a great deal in the end.

This course is a great alternative to courses you find in Scottsdale. The difference being that instead of $350.00 a round peak season you are around $150-$175. From the back tees it is all you want.

Very nice course but it was windy and occasionally raining during play which affected my enjoyment of the course. Staff are super friendly. Excellent course condition, beautiful course and layout, just the weather did not participate. Will definitely come back again.

Very friendly staff, nice range and putting green. Like the layout. Pace was a little slow but we had a fast group of good players.

Fairways perfect rough ant easy and the greens were quick. It’s a great course
