Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course

the only reason i gave this a 4 star was because the staff needs a happy class. great course! we had a 4-some with a guest who doesn't golf but was down here for first time and wanted to enjoy the views. we were fully prepared to pay a "cart fee" and asked before starting, but no mention was made. as we were preparing to hit our approach shot on hole #1, a cart comes racing out to interrupt us for fear we were seemingly trying to get away without paying a cart fee?? we spent over $550 in greens fees, $100 on the course for beverages & tips plus another $360 at the restaurant and they were worried about $20? sorry, but you had everything right, except the "people part" we may return... if quintero or estrella are booked

Excellent course. Amazing Views, perfect course conditions, challenging, and a nice club house. Enjoy this course while you can because playing for $110 is a BARGAIN compared to other courses in Scottsdale area.

Worth the drive, every time.... will play again on our next golf trip!

What a wonderful layout and the condition of the course was very good. The tee boxes were pretty beat up but the rest of the course was outstanding! Played the front nine in 1:55 then HIT A WALL!!! 2:35 back nine was ridiculously slow. When I asked the marshall on the 11th hole what the deal was he said "you're right on time". I explained to him the last two holes had taken almost 40 minutes to play he told me he found that "difficult to believe." Seriously?? Do your job and listen to your clients. I have never had a bad experience here before (6 rounds previously) so I'll write the interaction with the Marshall off as a anomaly.

Enjoyed a good lunch and golf course was in excellent condition. Pace of play was slow and didn’t allow our group to finish in 4 hours

Our four some had an unbelievable time, such a nice course to play. For a course that is very spread out the pace of play is very fast. We finished in under three hours and 45 minutes

Fantastic course! Really nice employees . The greens are running really nice here is some tight lies and the pace of play is incredible. Period. Employees are very friendly and great value to be had here. We finished it at four hours

Our group played the Saturday before over seeding at Verrado. Even though the fairways were being prepped for over seeding, the course was still beautiful and great fun to play. The scenery is breathtaking as you travel the path through the mountains. The only problem we had occurred after play when we went to the restaurant. While we were playing we commented on the large signs posted on the back of the carts advertising happy hour with 1/2 price appetizers and we had decided to stay and eat there rather than going elsewhere. We ordered drinks and inquired about happy hour and we were told there was no happy hour on Saturdays. When we asked why the cart advertising specified happy hour was on Mondays thru Sundays, we were told that it was no longer true. One of our group then went to the pro shop to inquire why it was posted on the carts and he was told also that it was not true and nothing could be done about it. Ten minutes had since gone by and we were still waiting for our drinks. When another ten minutes passed, and as we watched one person after another walk to the bar to get drinks, we decided that the chances of getting anything to eat would be pretty slim. We left and found a very nice Italian restaurant in the town square to eat in. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to eat after playing Verrado. I would also suggest that management take the time to remove the cart advertising while the course is closed.

Course was in great shape, weather was in the upper 60's. Recommend this course to all. It is a fun and challenging course. We did not run into any traffic until about the 15th hole.

Greens were super fast, fairways played nice, and overall the course was in great shape
