Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course

Is is always a pleasure to play Verrado. Course is always in excellent condition. On this particular day, Zach in the pro shop went above and beyond to make experience better than usual.

Absolutely wonderful course. Big wide fairways, only one blind tee-shot that I can remember, fairways in wonderful condition, greens were smooth & true. Putting was a joy (I estimate the greens were about a 10 on the stimp meter). Only negative aspect of the round was that we got stuck behind a threesome who played off the Silver tees when, in reality, it was clear they were very high handicappers and hence should of been playing off the Seniors tees (or even the Ladies tees) because they were so bad. That said, as there was nobody behind us, we played the par 3s twice just so that we would not have to wait 5 minutes to play every shot. Will definitely go back there whenever I'm next in Phoenix!

Greens are in transition, but very playable. Great layout, overall condition is good. Would’ve been satisfied at twice what I paid in green fees. Outside service guys are great.

Golfers were very golf courteous. A foursome in front let us play thru as we were just 2some.

This course was beautiful and the views of Phoenix were breath taking!!! Great course! Would play it anytime!

This course is top notch in every aspect. Very challenging layout with forced carries (more phycological than difficult) on most tee shots. The fairways are wide, but there is a preferred line of play to avoid carrying the green-side bunkers, which are plentiful and deep. The greens were not overly fast, with plenty of undulation. The course is in excellent condition and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. This course is on my list to play again.

Third time playing here. Layout is excellent. Course was freshly punched, but the greens were in reasonable shape considering, the lack of pace was welcome. Bunkers had nice fluffy sand which is rare in the valley (looking at you, Estrella). I'd play here every weekend if the green fees were a little more reasonable.

By far one of the best courses in the west valley. Challenging but fun!

I played this course twice this week. The wind seemed to blow in the opposite direction from one day to the next. This is not a flat sun city course. There are lots of elevation changes. Between that and the wind it becomes more of a challenge. You must guage both of these conditions to score here. There are multiple tees to choose from too. Most holes have a forced carry to the fairway. Depending on how accurate you are you might have to consider this when choosing a tee.

The staff was very friendly. I saw the cart girl several times during the round.

NOTE: If you want water you need to get a cup of ice before going out or bring your own cup. There are no cups at any of the water stations. The cart girl puts a cup of ice in your cart when you see her. But, you may want some water before that.

Great, everything and I mean everything..when will other courses..Namely The Raven and The Legacy give you those free range balls. What a great way to start a day of golf...Will play there again over and over and.....Thanks to all out there at Verrado...

Very good course and good value in the summer months. Lots of tee options for different skill levels. Generally forgiving.

Found the course online as a hidden jem of Phoenix golf. Totally agreed.

Teed off at 2:45pm and finished in about four and a half hours. Fairways and greens are in very good condition. Had excellent food and service in the clubhouse before starting. Friendly staff in the golf shop. Good practice range and balls included in the green fee. Some great views looking east. Highly recommended.
