Northdale Golf Club
About
Northdale Golf & Tennis Club remains one of the premier Tampa golf courses because of its affordable play, its use of water on 11 of 18 holes, bunkers, rolling undulations and contoured greens that really challenge players. Just 12 miles north of Tampa International Airport, this is a neighborhood golf course with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of your day. Renowned golf course architect Ron Garl designed the par 72, 6824-yard championship golf course. Northdale Golf & Tennis Club winds its way through 180 plus acres of property that is home to Brushy Creek and a series of small lakes and unspoiled wooded areas.

Conditions
Extremely poor grounds' conditions. Lots of areas were really soft/mushy and extremely muddy on the fairways, on the rough, and even on some greens. A lot of the greens had some major sand patches, it felt as if the greens had sand-traps, and also lots of roughness and patches of grass.elevated from the normal grassy green. Lots of holes on the grounds and around many of the greens. I have loved playing Northdale Golf Course since day one I tried it, but I must say whoever is managing the course is doing an extremely poor job at it and is going to cause Northdale GC to loose a lot of its guests/patrons/members!
Not a nice place
This was the second worst course I’ve ever played. It was in terrible condition, and they still want a prime money to play there.
New ownership unaware of how to maintain good course conditions
This used to be a great place to play
It has hit rock bottom since new ownership has come in
Looks like they are trying.
The layout of this course is great, but it looks like they are trying to rebuild the course. This is a great course to get out and play, but if your looking for great lies and greens you might want to look somewhere else.
Excellent ourse.
Excellent course. Needs work. Fairways bare in spots, greens patchy. Looks like being rehab.
Looking forward to playing there again once rehab is done.
Staff was awful.
Staff member in the pro shop was rude. I called ahead of time to let him know I was run 10 minutes behind (I spilled my breakfast all over the car and had to get out to clean it up.) he gave me a hard time about it running behind. I thought it be no big deal seeing as there were about 10 cars in the parking lot, half were probably staff members. I just left without playing.
Awful
Arrived for my tee time, mind you a single rider, and try to pair with a threesome and ride in the cart with someone I do not know. Guy behind the desk was absolutely rude, and condescending. The fairways were patchy, greens were burnt and covered in sand. For 37$ this course is garbage, and waste of money. If you play here good luck. HOTTRASH.
Not a good place
A friend and I played this golf course and will never play here again the course was in the worst shape of any place I have ever played the greens had dead patches all over them the green keeper had cut holes out of the green putting on them was impossible the fairways look like a mind filed this course is not in playable condition at all and yet they are still asking 50 dollars a round
Conditions sucked. Greens where sandy and burnt out, tee boxes overgrown and ugly
nice course
Very nice course just in poor condition as far as some of the greens being very patchy but still a good course!
Poor greens !!!!
Love the layout of the course!
Greens are the worst I have ever played on , lots of winter kill .
They just spread sand on all damage areas .
Terrible conditions bad staff
The course was in terrible shape, bring a sand wedge to the greens. Unfriendly staff.
Perfect Day to Play
The weather was perfect, low humidity, sunny, and 80 degrees. We are in a long dry season, so you always got an extra 5-10 yards of roll. The down side there were more bare spots than normal. It’s a long course, with a nice layout. Nice wildlife on the course. $32 green fee cannot beat it.
Good bang for your buck.
Minimal interaction with staff upon arrival but everything was smooth getting started. Great location. Really enjoyed the course layout as it was unique and challenging yet still manageable. Tee boxes were good. Fairways were decent (doing some work on a couple of them).Bunkers were nice and sandy (unfortunately I found out too often during my round). Some of the green were primed, green, beautiful and rolled like a private course but some of them were a disaster with sand taking up 1/3 of some of them making it impossible to putt in some instances. Overall I really enjoyed the course. Obviously wish the greens were in better shape, assuming they’re in the process of repairing them? Not a lot of water out there so I got lucky on a couple of my misses and was able to score well. Super affordable and like 20 minutes from downtown Tampa.
