Rusty review of Northdale Golf and Tennis
Very average golf course, not in good shape, Fairways were spotty, greens splotchy and rough condition. Course could be a decent place to play if in good condition.
Course in terrible conditions
The course right now is in bad shape. The greens are torn apart and filled with sand patches. The fairways the same as well. The pace of play was super slow. It took 5 hours to finish.
Pro/con
Course was reasonably priced and the place of play was great. However, the course over the past several months has gotten worse. They are working on it, the fairways had large spots of sand, and there was a few greens which were burnt. The course overall needs work, which they are doing. The course layout though, for me, is fun and challenging to play, overall it was a good round.
Lots of potential.
I’ve played this course many times though it had been a while. The course was kept but lots of dead spots on the greens and tee boxes. The layout is challenging and could easily be a top course if it was in top shape. The price is reasonable and the staff is nice. I’m no designer but I do believe they could fit a driving range in there somewhere. It meanders through and old neighborhood but the houses never come in to play. They could be sitting on a goldmine if they promoted the clubhouse to the neighborhood and turned it into the local sports bar.
Coming back
The course is coming back into shape. You can tell that management has started to invest more money into the course. Great tough course to play.
Not the Same?
I've golfed at Northdale for the last 7 years, at least once a year. It used to be a little pricier, but it was a great track, and we always looked forward to golfing there. Well, the front nine greens are in REALLY rough shape, but it appears that the grounds crews are attempting to do something to the course to make it better, or back to where it used to be, I don't know. I just can't recommend it right now, but I'm hoping their owners have a plan to at least get that place back to where it once was.
played here many times, always had fun. greens were a little off but it was worth the money.
Greens......Worst ever seen in my life!
Had to actually call the club house, 5 holes in, in order to get the on-duty Marshall to come out and do his job. The young fellow who picked up the call had the audacity to show little care for the situation.
The Club house was closed at 530pm, upon completion of our round with multiple groups still on the course. I ended up having a leak by a Tree.
Fairways are like a dirt road where grass has started to grow.
Never again!
Good course
Staff was friendly and course was wide open we played in under 3 hours. Greens were rough but ball rolled well, overall great experience.
3 of us had a tee time they paired us up with a singke which was fine EXCEPT they wouldn't give us 2 carts for the 3 of us, they made 1 of my 3 some ride with a STRANGER. The course wasn't busy AT ALL there were probably6-7 empty carts to use. Will not soend my $$ here. No customer service.
