nice course
Very nice course just in poor condition as far as some of the greens being very patchy but still a good course!
Poor greens !!!!
Love the layout of the course!
Greens are the worst I have ever played on , lots of winter kill .
They just spread sand on all damage areas .
Terrible conditions bad staff
The course was in terrible shape, bring a sand wedge to the greens. Unfriendly staff.
Perfect Day to Play
The weather was perfect, low humidity, sunny, and 80 degrees. We are in a long dry season, so you always got an extra 5-10 yards of roll. The down side there were more bare spots than normal. It’s a long course, with a nice layout. Nice wildlife on the course. $32 green fee cannot beat it.
Good bang for your buck.
Minimal interaction with staff upon arrival but everything was smooth getting started. Great location. Really enjoyed the course layout as it was unique and challenging yet still manageable. Tee boxes were good. Fairways were decent (doing some work on a couple of them).Bunkers were nice and sandy (unfortunately I found out too often during my round). Some of the green were primed, green, beautiful and rolled like a private course but some of them were a disaster with sand taking up 1/3 of some of them making it impossible to putt in some instances. Overall I really enjoyed the course. Obviously wish the greens were in better shape, assuming they’re in the process of repairing them? Not a lot of water out there so I got lucky on a couple of my misses and was able to score well. Super affordable and like 20 minutes from downtown Tampa.
Seeing Improvements
Played here several times recently while recovering from a back injury. Good to see the course is slowly improving. Long way to get back more than a decade ago when it was one of my favorites.
Town course
Nice course. There’s some water and it’s challenging. Staff is very friendly. The marshal even tried to talk in French for us.
Fun/challenging
Course is fun and challenging for a bogey golfer as myself. My only complaint is the condition of the greens made it virtually impossible to putt
Not the ideal conditions but worth the money for a cheap round
A buddy and I played this course and had a good time overall. The greens are very spotty, where you have dead grass on the green. However you can see the potential this course has on some holes as the greens are perfect. For the price you can not beat it especially this time of year
First and Last Time Here
Very poor conditions. Not enough grass for the fairways. If you were on the green you were always having to reposition your ball to try and find a line you could putt only on grass. The whole course needs a good bit of TLC to get back to how it should be.
I think the course has potential... But it's in rough shape.
The course has a nice layout. Unfortunately it was really in rough shape. Tee boxes, fairways and putting surfaces all a mess. It's disappointing, because it could be nice. It appears it's not being taken care of.
