Northdale Golf Club
About
Northdale Golf & Tennis Club remains one of the premier Tampa golf courses because of its affordable play, its use of water on 11 of 18 holes, bunkers, rolling undulations and contoured greens that really challenge players. Just 12 miles north of Tampa International Airport, this is a neighborhood golf course with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of your day. Renowned golf course architect Ron Garl designed the par 72, 6824-yard championship golf course. Northdale Golf & Tennis Club winds its way through 180 plus acres of property that is home to Brushy Creek and a series of small lakes and unspoiled wooded areas.

Eh, might as well....
Back story...Got ten buddies and we play each Sunday at different course near Tampa,FL. Played Northdale about 2 months ago and swore,"never agian". Somehow ended up there for more punishment. Young man in pro shop was 100% sharp and on it. Starter was pleasent and efficient. No driving range, only crappy warm up net. Practice outting green fools you into thinking on course greens are good. Don't fall for it. No beverage cart. Snack shop opens at 1100. Small fridge in pro shop of drinks. Young man running proshop was kind enough to get me some ice from snack shop. If you have an early t-time, bring your own. The course.....weed covered faiways with fire ant mounds, greens flat very little undulation and like velcro, bunkers were hardpan gray sugar sand. Other than that the course was a perfect $25 value for $50.
Northdale is good
Pace of play was superb . We had two tee times but no one was on the course so the six of us were able to play together. We finished in right at 4 hours. Fairways still held some of the water from the rain but the greens were in good condition. Staff inside were very good with getting the computer coordinated with the receipts I had for our prepay….Will be back
Decent course if you’re just trying to get out and work on your game.
Course was in pretty rough shape. Lots of bare spots green side, bunkers we’re dirt and the greens weren’t great. Not terrible but not great. Paid $37 for a morning round on a Thursday and pretty underwhelmed with overall conditions. Staff was friendly though and didn’t have anyone in front of us. Being from STL, I like to think there are better courses around the same price point in this area but maybe I’m wrong.
Absolute Wreck
This use to be one of the better values in town
New owners have destroyed this course. It is an embarrassment the condition this course is in now. Do NOT waste your money here.
Nice course to play on
I enjoyed the course very much and had a wonderful time. This is a place I will play again. The staff were friendly and the course was well kept.
FOR SALE
Someone please buy this pheasant hunting, goat ranch golf course.
Course in poor shape
The fairways were in poor condition. They're brown and patchy and covered with crab grass. The roughs around the greens are too tall and thick. It was by far the worst condition this course has been which usually is in decent shape. Hopefully this is just a one time deal and I'll try this place again.
Downhill
Course is in really bad condition. I’d stay away for a while. Greens are dry, certain parts of the course are not mowed. Very unenjoyable round from a place that’s usually decent.
Absolute Dump
This course stinks. The greens were actually solid (though in the process of being aerated), but the fairways and rough are an absolute joke. Fairways are burnt and brown, and the rough hadn’t been cut in awhile because it was overgrown with weeds. The bunkers have literal dunes in them. For what they charge, it’s a rip off.
pasture
Steadily going downhill. Rough was uncut and full of clover and bees. Fairways recently cut short and brown but still full of weeds. Tee boxes ok and greens aerified recently so hard to tell if they will be good. For the price they charge look elsewhere. Shameful because course could be very good.
Awful condition
Can’t recognize the fairways because they are just piles of weeds. Ant piles on tee boxes. Fast pace of play because nobody wants to play out there. Not going back unless the round is free, and even then May still not go
Not worth your money
Every time I play here the course gets worse and worse and worse. The cart path is brutal. The Asian restaurant inside is not bad that’s the only thing going for this place. Don’t think I’ll be playing golf here anytime soon ever again. It’s definitely not worth your money.
Cart paths need an update
My first time here I was not impressed. No golf cart for beverages, cart paths full of holes and raised concrete. The short course greens left little to be desired. The creeks and ponds were dirty.
Worst Ever
Long time ago I was a member of Northdale. It was always in decent to great condition. Always playable.
May 12, 2022, I played and the whole place is a wreck and getting worse. Fairways had clumps of weeds growing. When the ball rolled it would jump up and down because of the weeds. The 'rough' was not cut. Greens fast and at times rolled good. However, there were many greens without grass.
Horrible. Not really playable.
Cart replicated the course and buildings. Falling apart.
