Northdale Golf Club
About
Northdale Golf & Tennis Club remains one of the premier Tampa golf courses because of its affordable play, its use of water on 11 of 18 holes, bunkers, rolling undulations and contoured greens that really challenge players. Just 12 miles north of Tampa International Airport, this is a neighborhood golf course with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of your day. Renowned golf course architect Ron Garl designed the par 72, 6824-yard championship golf course. Northdale Golf & Tennis Club winds its way through 180 plus acres of property that is home to Brushy Creek and a series of small lakes and unspoiled wooded areas.

Nice and somewhat refreshed course
This was the first time I have played at Northdale in a couple of years. Before you could tell that the course was and off site amenities were in bad shape and the clubhouse felt like it was from the 80’s. Now it looks like there is new ownership and they are trying to improve the course condition and upkeep of the grounds. The greens played well and were in good shape. The clubhouse bathrooms were clean and pro shop was updated. I did not have a chance to check out the updated restaurant, but it looked interesting with some Chinese food options. I would play this course again.
Slow Greens, bad fairways and rough
Don't miss the fairways, you end up in deep clover or dirt with a little clump of grass....which describes the fairways also.
Course Conditions
This course has so much potential. But the cart paths needing repairs and the many weeds in Fairways keep this course from reaching it.
Getting better
My go to course when I’m just trying to get out and play. Usually never too crowded. Course is good enough. Seems like it’s getting better
Northdale
The course layout was absolutely fine. Some tricky holes, good water holes for a public course. We only had time for 9 holes before our flight out, so it was great.
A couple of tons of fertilizer and seeds would make this a much improved course. Carts are a bit worn. Cart paths need work.
Green were in fine shape, just play winter rules on fairways as they need much improvement.
With a little investment of money, and time, this could be a much improved course.
Good shape
Couldn't really find any flaws, just in my game.Greens rolled true today and fairways were in great shape.
Best time to play thins course because once the rainy season sets in its a challenge. Course was better than i expected. Greens were in good shape. Will play it again soon
Poor conditions due to lack of watering
Played this course before when it was well maintained, not now shows signs of neglect and poor upkeep. Although the greens played true and in better condition than the overall course. Will play again this summer when the rains should help the fairways.
