Nice Day!!!
All was good on the course for the money... only thing to say was that they had received a bunch of rain the day before. They made it cart path only when it did not need it to be. Course has great drainage..
BIG Improvement-but one caution!
There is new ownership here and they are doing a really good job. The TEES are as good as I have seen anywhere and the greens are in excellent condition. Nice speed, just a few bumps but still very good.
The fairways are much improved and there are very few bare spots. I was impressed by the improved status.
The CAUTION-their standard policy is TWO TO A CART, especially on the weekends. This is the only course in a 40 mile radius in which I play where they don't normally allow single player carts. I would not play that way at the current time in FL. But you will have to decide for yourself.
Otherwise I recommend playing here.
Great Course
Have played this course a lot with a mens league on Sundays about 2 years ago. Left due to course conditions. Decided to play yesterday with a friend and I will say a great improvement. Confirmed place was bought out by a new ownership group back in February this year. Tee boxes have grass and in good shape, still need to work on the weeds, fairways in great condition, actual grass now and continue to work on weeding out the weeds, the greens were fantastic. Some needed to be de-weeded but all in all great shape. It is nice to see someone putting money into a nice course. More people should play as no one was out there. The club House is being renovated so bring what you need to survive out there.
Nice course
Great staff and nice course. Greens were fast but accurate. Great value!
Pace of play terrible
The pace of play is terrible. The course is decent. There were 7 teams waiting to tee off on the 1st hole.
Nice layout, but rough at the moment
I only wish that the condition of the course would be provided when booking. Had a 3pm tee time. Pulled up to the clubhouse at 220 to find the entire clubhouse tore up under renovation. One cooler of cold drinks, no other facilities open. Checked in and were told " oh, i hope you dont mind playing the back nine twice as we have a shotgun start league at 4pm on the front" okay... "oh, and also we the greens were just plugged" again, nice to know ahead of time. But i guess that what you get for $21.00. All that said, the 4 of us went out and had a very enjoyable round. Its a fun, easier layout, friendly staff, just wish the conditions had been better. Thanks
I'll be back soon
The course was in decent shape, but greens are still recovering from their summer punch.
Pace was ok, but would expect an earlier tee time to play a bit faster.
Staff as friendly, but sadly a recent change in ownership has left the course without a liquor license. Those needing swing lubricant need to come prepared.
Decent Course.
Gave course a rating of 4. Would have given a 5 but meager amentatees due to club reconstruction, front 9 fast play, back nine slow. No ranger to keep pace of play moving, as the 3 in front of us were hitting 2 or 3 balls on every tee. Found fairways soft, no clean hit, no distance on hit. Cart girl was a welcome sight with the hot weather!
Extremely long and flat holes, Decent Economy Course at best
This course is definitely a bargain course that strives in it's price point but there are some better economical alternatives in the area. The design is incredibly flat and straight forward and the holes are fairly monotomous that go for pure distance. No other course in the Tampa area has given me the feel of a slog of each hole. It's hard to complain too much about given the price but the design really rubbed me the wrong way.
Some may like the distance and openeness, it is down to preference I suppose.
Decent course good price
Played Northdale for the second time and it was a fun course that was in good shape. Not much for a warm up area, they have a practice green and a net to hit balls into. The course was in decent shape, most of the fairways are a little thin but the greens are in good shape. They said the greens rolled at a 11 but they seemed slower. Our pace was good but we played early and got done in 4 hours. Good course for the money. Most holes allowed you to hit driver if you want but could also play other shots off the tee.
