About
Northdale Golf & Tennis Club remains one of the premier Tampa golf courses because of its affordable play, its use of water on 11 of 18 holes, bunkers, rolling undulations and contoured greens that really challenge players. Just 12 miles north of Tampa International Airport, this is a neighborhood golf course with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of your day. Renowned golf course architect Ron Garl designed the par 72, 6824-yard championship golf course. Northdale Golf & Tennis Club winds its way through 180 plus acres of property that is home to Brushy Creek and a series of small lakes and unspoiled wooded areas.

Slow play
On this particular day, I had to wait an hour after our tee time to receive a golf cart. Same happened to future tee times.
Good course for the price.
Course was a bit muddy in areas, but overall fun layout and great pricing for the season.
Good for the money.
Fun forgiving course. Good fairways and quick greens. A little wet. CART PATHS NEED REPAIR. Otherwise great for the money.
Good layout and fast round
Played on a Wednesday late morning...played in a little over 3 hours.
Greens had recently been aerated with the very small tines and fertilized. For the most part greens were smooth and quick. Not as fast as usual.
Course has a nice layout. Mostly flat with minimal uphill in a few locations. This is not a course for a beginner as there's enough water and bunkers to wreak havoc for a beginner.
To slow play
They crammed way to many people in one morning 135 golfers they should have started some on the back and some on the front. Poor management as well very rude I will never play here again....
Nothing is perfect but..
Had a rough round just seemed to land on the worst part of the 'greenside' stuff either hardpan or sugar sand. Pace was slow but expected given the Holliday's. Greens were dreadfully slow and repetitive 'nothing exciting'. Loved all of the tee shots. Layout is fun especially the tough 16 par 5. Greens were boring the rest was fun.
Speed them up boys.
Never in good shape
I’ve been told that 20 years ago this course was beautiful, but they have new ownership since then and the course has gone into disrepair. Greens are never in good shape. Just not a well maintained course or HOA since the homes on the course are all in disrepair and run down too.
Great value for the money
I have really enjoyed this course the few times out. Nice layout. Most greens are in very good condition. Fairways likewise.
Great Value
Really enjoyed the course layout. I played from the tips. Greens were very good in fact, best in the area (fast) with the exception of TPC when they’re at their best. Very much worth the $. Not super pretty but nice. I would play it again.
Great course for the money
Great shape and design. Blue tees are a challenging distance. Fun to play and a great value.
Nice Course Generally with Quick/Smooth Greens
This course has good variance on distance to par 3's, par 4's and 5's. Some water, some fairway bunkers, trees in play. Greens have undulations, one to two are extreme depending on pin location.
Fairways were a little soft due to recent rains but were cut as well as the rough. Not much sand in the traps.
Greens had just been fertilized with the tiny granules. But overall were still quick and rolled smoothly...biggest problem on the greens were a couple of foot draggers somewhere up ahead of us.
Bring your MF swim trunks. Its underwater
The back nine should have been closed. It’s just too wet. Anxious to play it in a dry season.
Course does not drain well, very muddy and no driving range
Do not play after rain
To be fair, this course is very nice and has a fun and challenging layout. I would never play this course after a strong rain though. When we played it had rained the night before and it was cart path only, this i have no problem with but, the course was so wet it seemed like literally every ball plugged. On a brighter note the greens rolled very nicely and that made the round a bit more enjoyable. Its worth a play just not when it is wet.
