Needs some TLC maintenance
I was going to play nearby at Cheval, but thought I'd save $18 and play here. When I checked in for my 1:15, I was told the twilight rate had just dropped which should have saved me another $8. Not sure why GolfNow would charge more online. Greens were slow but in pretty good shape. The fairways certainly need some maintenance. Staff was all very nice. But I'll be returning to Cheval in the future for better course conditions.
Stickler for rules
The person checking me in explained that because I signed up through Golf Now I would have to start my round exactly at the tee time and would have to be paired with someone else who scheduled through Golf Now. My experience is that courses are often flexible about start times and do not require pairings although they may prefer pairings. I felt like I was being stigmatized for using Golf Now.
Disappointing Staff
Today we had an 8:45am tee time that I reserved around 7:15am this morning, no problem there, Golfnow did it's job. However, I called them around 7:45, letting them know we would be there a little bit late because we were unaware of how far the course actually was in relation to us, they said that was fine, they weren't very busy, and they could get us out when we got there. We arrived to the course at 8:55, which is not too bad, and were immediately ready to tee off; however, they held us up for 10 minutes to tell us that we had no tee time and couldn't go out. After I showed them the confirmation, they proceeded to tell us we then had to wait an hour because they had a large group turning soon, instead of putting us out on the course in front of them. The front desk worker had no idea how to check us in, and the ranger was clueless about how to do his job, all the while being very rude to us.
Aside from the amateur nature of the staff, the course was not in the best shape. I could not differentiate the tee boxes from the surrounding grass, and the course was dried up and dying. Was looking forward to playing here today, as it was my first time playing in Florida, but came up disappointed by the experience here at Northdale.
Good Afternoon of Golf
Northdale was in good condition and the pace of play was very good on a busy Friday afternoon.
Nice course, good value.
My wife and I played her one afternoon, virtually had the course to ourselves. The greens were in fair condition, all putts ran true. The course is in good condition, a bit rough around the edges, and not pristine. This is a nice course for a cheap game. I will definitely go back.
Nice but slow
Our foursome player this very Nice course, the staff is freindly and courtous. The Only problem We had was two player sur ahead of us were playing using these golfboard. They were more interested to the Board Than their golf game.
Must play
good course for the money. Good shape the day I played it. Nice layout
poor condition
course has a nice layout but in poor condition..weeds growing on greens half inch high, fairways were like concrete with minimal grass
Awesome course Forgiving and challenging
Very forgiving fairways the sand traps are in good shape. The greens are Very challenging and in Excellent shape
Course is not in as good
I have played this course a few times in the past few years and I find that the course is not nearly in as good of shape as it has been . It needs work ,I hope that they will start taking some initiative and get it back into shape !
great value, greens were true
We played on a tuesday so pace of play was not an issue. greens were in excellent condition. fairways and tees were also good. staff was friendly and accomodating. would definitely go back.
Not Worth It
Aggravating to book a tee time that would allow for 5hrs 35mins to finish and not get it in. Booked 1:08 tee time through GN. When I checked in the ticket said 1:15 time. Not a bother, still lots of time to finish!
We teed off at about 1:30, and because of the "regulars" that were being fit, in the course was saturated with golfers! I heard the starter tell a couple of walk-ons to go over and start on the back when you can jump in! Not Good enough! Would not recommend this course, and will not be back. GN hot deals golfers get treated as second class citizens at this course!
Nice public course at great price.
This is one of the most underrated public courses in the area. Compared to the city courses and some as far away as Pasco and Pinellas county, it does a good job of keeping the fairways and greens in above average condition. And the price is the same or lower than most. No driving range and not very scenic, but worth $25.
there are weeds growing on the greens.
