BEAT THE SUN
COURSE READY FOR WINTER. PACE SO GREAT FINISHED BEFORE SUNDOWN. GREAT FOURSOME.
Nice course!
First time playing this course. Nice and Ca little bit of challenge. Hit them straight as there’s plenty of trees. Didn’t lose a ball though. Will definitely go back!
Great course
One of the best maintained courses in Sacramento. Will definitely play again.
AH is a beautiful and challenging course. If you can’t stay on the fairway good luck punching out of the trees, they’re everywhere. The marshals were all over the course keeping the pace of play. We even were able to try out the new Finn Scooters they had which made the day even more fun. Only knock was they had greens-keepers working everywhere on the course and a couple of times they ran out right in front of us to do work when we were about to tee off. One of which was on a par three, I was tee’d up and ready to hit and the guy walked right onto the green. He didn’t waive at us, say “hold on a sec”, nothing. I guess he was patching a part of the green (actually thought he was changing the hole placement for a sec) but he took a good 7or 8 minutes to do it which burned away the cushion we had from the group behind us. I appreciate having a well taken care of course but that was just annoying.
Picturesque
I love playing at Ancil Hoffman. The course was well taken care of today besides all the leaves which make it a bit hard to find your balling you’re not on the fairways. Greens were in good shape and the pace of play was excellent. The park is beautiful right now and we’re lucky to have this gem in the Sacramento area!
fearsome foursome
COURSE ABOUT TO BE WINTERIZED. LOTS OF LEAVES AND FAIRWAYS SHOWING SLIGHT SIGNS OF WEAR BUT VERY PLAYABLE.
Not worth it
The pace of play was really slow. They paired us with a young girl who happens to be taking golf lessons at Ancil Hoffman. The instructor gave her a free round and we had to be paired up with her and her grandmother. I paid for this round to play competitively and not to coach/be playing a slow pace.
Lots of leaves
Beautiful fall colors and lots of leaves..Just needed to keep it in fairway or tough to find it . I think that's why play was so slow . Although the Marshall did a good job of trying to keep things going. Overall a good day
