Ancil Hoffman Golf Course

Always like playing here. Course is nice and the setting is beautiful.

Closing everything by 4pm this time of year is ridiculous, can't get to the bathrooms, post your score, get a refreshment or food. Absolutely horrible. Golf somewhere else.

Havent played this course for a while. Best shape I've seen, even with drought conditions in recent years.

Course was in very good condition after the recent rains. Beautiful course with lots of wildlife and trees. Some excellent holes, like the 7th, 11th and 13th, but some bland holes and a few odd ones. The 16h is a 420 yard par four dog leg right that requires a tee shot down the left, but there is a large tree in the fairway on that line. Overall, a good buy for the money.

Had a 9:04 and got bumped to 9:30 because friends of the pro shop wanted to play last minute. left after 16 because we were at 5 hours and had to go pick up the kids from school. It should have been plenty of time on a Friday but the good ole boys club wanted to play and even after falling an entire hole behind the Marshall wouldn't do a thing. It will be some time before I give these guys another dime.

Had great expectations to play 18 w my son, at the first we got paired up with a single. Seemed ok at first but noticed he had zero golf etiquette- for nine holes the guy never offered to pick up a flag, even if he was first to putt out.

By the tenth I told my son let's see what happens if we don't make the move. Sure enough the guy finishes putting, stands there and when we finish we start to move to the cart. He calls to my son,"hey, pin". My son apologized and got the flag and then and there we decided we were done for the day. Left after ten holes. The front nine had taken almost three hours to play so we were already running behind, this just sealed the deal.

Too bad- course was in great shape, staff were great. Second time I've had a bad pairing at this course, I know it's not the fault of the course, but I'll think twice before booking another round there.

The course here at ancil is well layed out. It offers a much more challenging course from the gold tees, reaching just over 7k yards. Lots of fun dog leg par 4s! Greens are usually kept in pretty good shape to ! The course really shows in depth when the wind picks up!

Course was great. However on a Wednesday afternoon it took us 6 hrs to play a round. There was a college match going on but a heads up would of been nice.

need to go to the new green at 14, instead of that ridiculous thing uphill. never seen a course so crowded on a Monday

The course superintendent is doing an amazing job keeping the course in such good shape for the time of year and all the rain. The sand traps were a little packed down, but compared to other courses, quite good. The pro shop staff are always friendly. This is one of my favorite courses in the area.

Excellent condition of greens. Great course excellent value for your dollar.

Ancil Hoffman Golf Course is a nature lovers dream come true. Deer, Wild Turkey, Geese, Ducks, Squirrels, and Coyotes roam the course. The live oak trees line the course and make accuracy very important. The high handicap holes are their longer holes so long hitters can turn in some low scores. Friendly staff and excellent restaurant bar for before and the ninteeth hole after your round.

The staff is the least friendly and unwelcoming of any course in the area. It's as if they really don't care if they have your business or not. Pace of play was running just under 6 hours for 18...I quit after 9 (3 hrs) and didn't bother with a rain check for the back 9.

My playing partners play here once a week. We played here after it had rained overnight. The course drains well and softened the greens and they were holding approach shots well. Great course to walk with an abundance of wildlife (deer, wild turkeys) roaming the fairways with you.

website did not inform about the course condition. came all the way from stockton only to play at a not so good condition course. even passed by so many courses along the way...

I booked to play 18 but after it took 3 hours to play 9 we left. I wish the marshals would get more involved and work on pace of play. I have played Ancil in under 4 hours but yesterday was a joke.

Greens were great food was great staff was great I will be back

Course in very good shape for summer and drought conditions. Fairways are a little bare in spots but marked a GUR. Fairways still green otherwise. Greens are in good condition despite unrepaired ball marks - typical muni course greens

Enjoyed the course, the person I joined up with. Overall I had a great time. Thanks!!

Worse course I've ever played because of the staff.
