Ancil Hoffman Golf Course

This is one of the great old munis, and I make a point of playing here when in town. The course shows some wear from frequent play and likely a dry winter but the greens are excellent for all that. There was a Marshall and a cart girl so what more can you ask.

Course was great, greens are good shape. Marshall was helpful

Despite heavy play, course is in relatively good shape. Greens are a bit slow, but easy to read.

Tee time: 11:48. Took one hour to play 3 holes. Total round was 5 hours. No Marshall around. We had this same problem the first time we played this course about 4 year ago. Decided to try it again. Nothing has changed. Probably will not return.

The course is in great shape. It is always a pleasure to play such a demanding yet friendly course.

Course is a test during normal conditions, but with wind gusts around 25 mph it plays extremely difficult

On the first hole…the pin placement was completely ludicrous!! It was impossible to get any kind of lag putt … now I don’t mind a hard pin placement, but not on the first hole kinda had me frustrated for the rest of the day

Ancil Hoffman has always been a great course to play. Now that the trees are fully grown it has become much more difficult. I used to be able to attack the course, but not any longer. I also found the greens extremely fast.
