last time playing here ever
Teed off at 5:30am so I wouldn’t have to experience the horrible pace this course usually has. Unfortunately, they did a shotgun start with the slowest typical playing groups starting on 10. Took me 1 hour to play the front 9 and over 2 hours to play the last 5 . Ridiculous to not have a Marshall to regulate this at this price. Not worth it. Can’t play any time of day without waiting 10+ mins every shot. Been playing here for years but these last 3 or so years this place has gone to sheit
No value here
green fee too high for what it is. green conditions were good, other than that fairways were patchy. they spent too much money off the course than on it.
Tons of potential
Not a bad course overall. Lots of good scenery. The off course facilities are great.
This course was pretty bad.
The course was honestly pretty bad. From the first tee straight out it looks pretty laid out not too bad. But no the rough is horrible because of how the grass is. It is insanely deep which consists of mostly every hole. You’re just constantly hitting and just hitting the grass. Horrible. The course layout is a complete mess. Not too many blind spots but since it is overall so crowded it is so easy to hit on other holes. It happens pretty often as well as others. Also the food is ridiculously expensive for something I could make at home. Bland. My
Boyfriend and I got two meals and it was a total of $50 absolutely ridiculous. The greens were mediocre as you can still see the punches in the green. It’s overpriced and the layout is horrible.
Much better
First time being back in about 6 months. Renovations are really showing and overall course conditions are much better than 6 months ago. Greens were plugged
Overpriced
Below average course for the money. Poorly marked for first time players. Biggest gripe, many cart path only holes for no apparent reason.
Willnot return.
Decent Public Course
Prices are getting insane and even getting a tee time is tough without booking way in advance.
We were able to get a good Friday afternoon tee time at a reasonable price booking just a couple days out.
The course is good. Not a laydown but not super challenging. It's not in great shape, but not awful.
They had recently punched and sanded the greens and there was no mention when booking. We also had a super slow group in front of us today with at least 2 holes open ahead of them by the time we go to #10. No one from the course said a word and they weren't listening to our requests to pick it up.
Bad experience
No mention on course website about aeration of greens. Course didn’t lower green fees as most courses do to compensate for conditions. When I brought it up to guy in pro shop he was dismissive about it. I have never played the day after greens were punched and sanded. Awful.
Golf cart GPS malfunctioned near green on hole 9. Locked cart even though cart was on cart path. Had to walk to pro shop and have cart GPS reset. All I got was a comment about having issues with the GPS. No apology.
Not worth the price
Will not be my first choice. Totally overpriced golf course. They either need to lower the cost or completely up grade the course.
Rancho Del Sol Review
On a Saturday we arrived early, check in process was simple. Parking is limited, but the course is going over a massive makeover. Bunkers have new sand yet to be filled in the bunkers. The new apartments will be rented soon, i believe they will be building more parking for the course. BMPs are under way through the course. The greens were the highlight of the course, they're in excellent condition. Putts were very true to form. They have elevated tees with incredible views of the town and surrounding mountains. Can't wait for this course to be fully upgraded.
Decent greens and fairways!
Played at 1:15pm. Pace of play was good for the amount of people playing on a Friday. Wasn’t thrilled with the 7 cart path only holes. Greens rolled well, wish people would fix their divots though. Fairways were in good shape. Course is pretty open. I would play here again.
Better than Expected
Despite some negative reviews, I found the course enjoyable and the pace of play better than expected for a Sunday. While the conditions weren’t great, they were reasonable for a heavily played course. Overall, I had a good time and would play here again.
No thanks!
Poor conditions - bad fairways, lots of dirt patches, weeds. Tee boxes bare, greens were good but firm. Cart pat only on ALL holes, makes the cart useless. Pace of play is terrible. Plus they tried to charge me extra $10 above GOLFNOW price for cart! Not coming back for a long time, again.
Rancho San Joaquin 2 some
COURSE PLAYED well. I had a small issue after the first whole, we started earlier which is fine, but the group in front of us was playing for money and they took much longer putting, and practicing putting in front of us. Cool, it's fine when someone wants to replay a loss or a win of a hole, but you have to move on. Tee up and stop the drinking and bull chalking. Our 2 some was delightful, they were friendly and informative players. They gave me free reads, they helped me shoot birdies and keep pars salvageable. I found water if anyone wants Prov1x go swimming as I lost 2 balls for an 81. Take that shooter.
