About
Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin sits just half an hour from Sacramento but the stunning landscape blanketed with thousands of live oaks feels much more secluded. In addition to the trees, massive granite outcroppings accent the course. It is both a visually stunning and formidable championship layout. The diverse topography is the focus, providing many challenges with the elevation changes and towering trees that line the narrow fairways. The rolling topography helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Wetlands come into play throughout the golf course, also serving as home to numerous varieties of indigenous wildlife. The golf course finishes with a tough hole, a long par 5 that is flanked by wetlands on both the left and right. Whitney Oaks G.C. also has a practice facility with a 15-station driving range, a putting green, and pitching area.

Great course, super challenge.
You want to really test your game? Whitney Oaks will challenge every part of it. The course is in great shape. Bring your A game and a couple extra balls.
Outstanding and Underrated Course
This is a great course that doesn't get the respect and appreciation it deserves. I think it is amongst the best courses in the Sacramento area, along with The Ridge in Auburn. This place was impeccably maintained, the holes were very challenging, and it very much reminds me of Hiddenbrooke in Vallejo in layout and creativity in design. Give this place a chance, you will never be bored here.

Unfriendly and Stuck Up
The employees are rigid and impersonal. The guy at the pro shop, the girl at the bar, the starter and cart attendant will come at you sideways if you arent a member. The course has some fun shots but overall a poorly designed track. Multiple blind tee shots and approaches, sometimes on the same hole and very frequent. The greens were really good. Fairways were playable, swamped in some areas but dry in others. Some of the tee boxes were in need of tlc. Overall, not worth the rack rate but the hot deal has value.

Very nice course and very pleasant staff. Course is challenging, tight fairways and a bit of target golf but very enjoyable.

Great shape
The course is in excellent condition. Greens are rolling true and fast.
We did have a fivesome that was holding things up a bit but we still enjoyed the round.
Had a GolfNow deal so paid a good rate.
Had two beers after the round at the clubhouse. Charged $9 ea. way too much for a draft beer. Can get a four pack of the same IPA for $11. 3 X the price, no thanks, would have probably had a couple and some food, but not for that much. Other than that, a great experience. Just don’t buy anything at the clubhouse.
