Hard greens
The greens were so hard the ball bouced off. I didn’t see any maintenance or greens keepers the whole day. Pro shop associates were great.
Prepare to lose balls on a windy day
Very nice looking course and the greens were great, once you found them. Too many blind shots for my liking with the woods, tall grass, mud, creeks, leaves very close to the fairways and greens. So was a little frustrating to have to bird dog quite a few balls, especially in the wind. All in all a good experience I would like to play again under better conditions.
Tee boxes
Apparently they fired there Superintendent so the only tee box that had been mowed was on 18. Grass on every other tee box was horrible, so teeing off was like hitting your drive from the first cut of rough. Poor course management. The rest of the course was in good shape for all the rain we've had.
Great course overall, needs maintenance.
I absolutely love the layout of the scores, it is challenging yet fair. I play here on a regular basis and was disappointed by the condition of the fairways and bunkers especially on my most recent around. Shots that were in the fairway were often sitting in holes and many areas around the green are in the low average condition makbig it difficult To Chip and pitch from due to holes and Sandy segments. I typically have nothing but great experiences with the staff and will continue to play this course, I just hope that the conditions in the Fairways especially can improve.
Overall good. Some areas of concern.
I like the layout of this course. A number of tee shots need to be placed in order to have a decent second shot. Water on many holes that require accurate distance control. Fairways in good shape. Although the greens looked fast, they putted true but really slow. Our group probably left 20+ downhill putts short even after we experienced the speed from the first green.
Big problem is the sand traps. Water in most. One was totally full. Even when dropped out of the casual water, hitting off wet sand. Took away from the good aspects of the course.
Lastly, GPS in my golf cart did not work.
Course was in great shape !
It is the middle of winter here and recently had some rain . Course was in really good condition . Greens were in great shape. Would definitely recommend !
Unfortunate Experience
We’ve played this course many times and have had good and bad experiences. Mostly good until today, making it the last time we will golf here. We were pushed back to another tee time which we didn’t mind. While arriving to the tee box there was already a foursome due to the golf shop sending out another twosome knowingly. This created a mess and instead of solving the problem, they treated us like dirt along with the other golfers. They said they weren’t going to do anything about it because they didn’t care. Horrible customer service, especially for frequent golfers of the course, along with poor management, atrocious scheduling/booking system, and rude workers. Owner/manager of the course needs to be informed of this because we’ve seen this happen to many other golfers on a handful of occasions.
Nice course
Yesterday was my first time to play this course. I was impressed by this overall nicely maintained course. The green is great but difficult to read. The course is harder than the courses I used to play.
a few odd holes
The course is fairly short. Some holes are really odd! Play it from the tips if you want to hit your driver.
Nice course
Had a great time playing on New Year’s Day. The course has some interesting holes on the back nine.
Woodcreek
Great course as long you stay on the fairway, best stay out of the trees. Also second hole is fun hole, green is surround by water, also the greens are fast. I will be back again to play this course.
Great course
Course was in very good shape, greens were in great shape, rolling fast. Staff is always friendly.
Good course
Challenging course but fun to play, definitely will play again
A good course but could do with some maintainance
Maintainable required specially at the tee boxes. A few tee boxes had patches of rough on them and it seemed as if I was teeing off from 1st cut. The greens were very nice but the pin locations were freakishly challenging.
Pasture everywhere
I am a big fan of the Robert Muir Graves designed Northstar up in Truckee and was looking forward to playing this track he designed in suburban Roseville. Let me say that I was stunned at the poor conditioning of the course.
You can see there was once a good golf course here, but that must have been long ago. There were very few cut fairways as I gazed upon hole after hole that looked like prime cow pasture. The course yields little roll due due to the thick, wet grass everywhere and thus plays longer and tougher than the blue tees that showed a 122 slope rating.
The greens were in good shape, but only a few were rolled in the early morning dew. The bunkers were hard as a rock, and many were filled near the brim with water. I would advise to head down the street and play Timber Creek in the Sun City development. That course charges about the same for green fees and is in very nice shape with a bunch of interesting holes.
First time playing Woodcreek. Nice course, great layout. The greens were the best I’ve played in awhile, very true. Sand traps and some fairways had massive puddles. Terrible service in the restaurant area. Pro shop staff was awesome though. Overall was a nice day and good course if the traps and fairways drained. Better to play in the summer. Will play again.
