Cinnabar Hills Golf Club - Canyon/Mountain

It’s a great course, good condition, great use of elevation changes, and well positioned bunkers. Wish I didn’t look like an idiot the whole round, would be a fun course to play well on.

Excellent 27 holes locaed in South San Jose. Greens are kept in great shapr. You need to bring all type of shots to this course to score.

The course is beautiful, the staff is amazing and you can’t beat the twilight rate. However, they need to monitor the groups they allow out on the course. The group in front of me turned into a 5 or 6 and never allowed my twosome to play thru. I should have easily been able to finish close to 18 by aunset, however, I spent most of my time standing at the tee box or fairway waiting for a group of six (with small children) mess around up ahead. At one point, we watched one of the carts careen off the cart path and get stuck on the curb that saved them from rolling down a side hill! We had to try and help them push the cart back on the path, but it was totally stuck. Only then did we get to play thru, but the damage was done.

Everything was great. Well-maintained tee box, fairways, bunkers, and greens. Great pace.

We had a blast at Cinnabar yesterday. The course was in amazing condition, the greens were so pure. Staff and the restaurant were so good, food was outstanding along with the service. Can’t wait to go back.

Another very enjoyable day at Cinnabar, course in a good state overall, a few tees were a little worn and not in super condition but still very useable. Played Mountain and Lake which I’d give an 8 and 7 out of 10 respectively for quality and enjoyment, Canyon is superior to both of these 9s in my opinion. Rough was pretty this so relatively easy to find a ball, the fairways were very good and the greens also. I think I’d rate the course as 8-9 out of 10, the tee variety makes it challenging for anyone, there are some very pretty and interesting holes, the course felt slightly well played but it is popular from dawn to dusk for good reason so the greens staff do an excellent job to keep it such fine fettle. I’ll be back for more, thanks.

The course was in good condition and the pace of play was great. We finished in 4 hours and 20 minutes. I also enjoy playing the Lake and Mountain combination.

Enjoyed the round. Everything is good, except for the recently aerified greens, but will come back again.

Excellent golf club. The course was in great shape other than the greens which were recently aerated. A necessary evil if you’re going to enjoy beautiful green the rest of the year, so no complaints here. The staff is top notch and goes out of their way to make sure your round is enjoyable. I will be back often when in the area.

Had to leave after 10 holes due to the backlog of golfers waiting to tee off

I've played this course a few times. All around it is one of the best bang for your buck courses out there. It is a fun layout and very well maintained. Carts are great and overall the pace was solid.

Staff is kind of rude. Course was relatively empty and they refused to let us go out earlier without paying more because we had a prepaid reservation. Pretty much the only course I go to where they do this. Only other downside is it is a bit out there if you don't live in south san jose or morgan hill.

If you are looking for a solid round round at a nice course without breaking the bank this is your best bet in the area.

I do not recommend this course. The reviews are very positive and I don’t know why. This course has a really silly design. I should have known when I asked the starter if he played the course much and he said no never. I wouldn’t either if I worked there. I will probably never go back. Staff is friendly, course is manicured well but the course layout is a total joke. Golf options in San Jose are really bad which is why I’m guessing this place gets good reviews but avoid San Jose all together and play in Monterey or the East Bay or South Bay for some good courses.
