Cinnabar Hills Golf Club - Mountain/Lake

Perhaps not best day to golf, but with the favorable wind keeping the smoke away form the course, Cinnabar was a picturesque Oasis.

The fairways, bunkers and greens were in pristine condition. My only complaint is the tee boxes were a bit chewed up. I was able to find a relatively nice spot on most tee boxes to hit from. I played the Cinnabar tees today.

Great/Challenging course overall. Very friendly and helpful staff.

A top 5 public course that is very very challenging and you will not find many high handicap players and so as a single it makes pairing very fun and memorable

I live an hour away but I'm really considering playing here more often. Greens rolled true and not too fast, not too slow and hold approach shots well. Really cool layout, I played Mountain up in the hills and Canyon among the woodlands which was very scenic. I'm sure Lake is just as good. My dad and I played Coyote Creek two weeks ago and we agree Cinnabar Hills is a cut above Coyote.

We teed off at 7:20 expecting to have 3 1/2 to 4 hour round. Ended up being a 4 1/2 hour round which should it be the case teeing off at 7:20. Very slow foursome was the first off. Not a good experience at all.

One of the better courses here in valley where you don’t have to break the bank to play. I played early and hence didn’t see much by the way of wind. I played canyon and mountain and I really didn’t feel it was tough as I did like playing the elevations. There was a little bit confusion with the GPS when I got to 7th and I was not sure where I was going but it worked out well. Since wind was not an issue didn’t have any carry challenges as others have mentioned here ( I played 3 wood as I don’t like driver much )

Will play this course again for sure
