About
Located just 20 minutes from downtown in the Forest Hills section of Tampa, Babe Zaharias Golf Course meanders through a tree-lined residential neighborhood. The golf course measures a modest 6,020 yards, but should not be taken lightly. Although both nines on "The Babe" are par 35, the back side sports four par-4 holes in excess of 400 yards, providing a challenge for golfers of all skill levels.

Just needs some TLC
Played Babe for the first time yesterday and got paired with two really nice guys. The shop attendant/ starter was really great… the course had some really clever routings, just had some very thin fairways.., probably could use some rain… otherwise the course and the outting was fun and I would do it again… would have given a “ 1/2” to the 3 and it surely could be a 4 with some thicker fairways…. Thx for a fun day…
Good course
Very open, a bit on the short side. Conditions for what I've seen here in Central fla, very good to what else I've played [10 rounds in 4 weeks] most courses tees and fairways are beat to death these were in good condition. Greens we very well maintained and rolled nicely. I'd go back for sure.
The good holes are great, but some greens need work.
Awesome course. Finished in less than 4 hours as a Foursome 2-man scramble with a ten minute break at the turn. It was steady but no delays - perfect for a nice round.
Much better than I expected when I pulled in
Course is very short, so was good for me to hit some FW's and Hybrids off of tees. Course is in much better shape than I expected. Not top notch by any means, but better than $50 normally gets you in this area.
Pace was nice, never waited too terribly long because the holes are short. Has a few unique holes that are risk reward
Great little course.
It's a par 70 not 72, some trouble with sand and water, if you hit some wayward shots. Good layout where water and sand come into play. Very well maintained and excellent staff, very friendly.
Nice lay out with several dog legs. The carts are like new. Tee boxes in excellant shape. As much fairway grass as any other course. Greens nice

Great price, good green & fairway conditions, friendly staff. Not too much else you can ask for.
Fun
The staff were perfect. Give them all a raise. Pace was held up at first due to a very slow group. Ranger went right out and got them moving. Greens are a little fuzzy and slow. Allowing grass to catch up with all the snow bird damage. Had a great time and will return. Great staff!
Great Course
Best course I’ve played in the Tampa area considering price and conditions of the course.

This is not a super long course but was still fun. It was a bit dry but the greens were in very good shape.
Great course for the price
Coming from Quebec, Canada. I’m used to the soft ground and everything that we have up there. First course played in Florida. The ground is in ok shape, really dry and the fairway are tight, next to some road and houses. But overall, for the price, this course is good!
Great Course
I’m a mid-handicap senior woman golfer and I played this course well. The part 4s and 5s were reachable from the forward tees. The par 3s were challenging and I hit a few, the others like hole #17 I had to go to the drop zone.
Greens and fairways were in great shape and all the holes were marked well for first timers.
Only opportunity was there wasn’t a full driving range, just a net to hit irons into, but at least you could warm up your full swing.
