Babe Zaharias Golf Course

Starter has the personality of a rattlesnake poise to strike. Manager, ranger and restaurant personnel all very nice. Course short and narrow between houses but small sloping greens makes it challenging.

Only 6000 yards from back tees. As with the 2 other Tampa Sports Authority courses, Rocky Point & Rogers Park, this course is well maintained.. The fairways are plush & the elevated greens roll true & fast. The Par 4's on the back nine are long enough to be Par 5's for short drivers like me who only drive 240 yards. There are few houses visible on the course, & they're no where near play. There are a lot of roads that run parallel to the holes, about 4 holes have roads on both sides of the fairways & that got into my buddies head. This is why the course reminds me of Mayfair Country Club & Rolling Hills Golf Club near Orlando. I enjoyed the course & will return to play it even though my buddy won't.

Greens keepers lack in knowledge in how to do pin placement and repairing the old cup hole I could count up to as many as 7 to 12 previous holes on each green. Sand traps were not racked properly and had to much growth on the insides of the sand traps. Fairways had different types of weeds and grass growing in them.

Got 18 in before the rains came and they still rank right up there with some of the Orlando high end course for the best greens. Great pace of play....even with three walkers ahead of us. Staff as always very friendly and accommodating. The price was definitely right and the greens while a bit slow ran true from 1 through 18. Always a treat to play......

Overall a really great value for the money. The course is in pretty good shape based on municipal course standards. The main drawbacks to the course is a lack of a driving range and the 7th hole is a "gimmick" hole IMHO. It's not a long course at around 6300yds but it is tight with a few hazards that can come into play and has some tricky greens depending on the pin position.

I enjoyed my round of golf here but the greens needs some work and the fairways grass need to be tended to other then that I enjoy the pace of play and staff there

Some of the tees are in really bad shape. Some of the fairways are too. But the greens were good.

Played early afternoon on a weekday. Finished under 4 hours and had a lot of fun. The greens were in great shape but the tees were a bit crispy and sandy. Did not take away from a nice day. For what you pay, it was a good deal and a nice quick round. It's not TPC, which is fine because you're not paying a TPC price.

Had time to kill before a flight so chose this course as has easy access to major freeways. Was met by a very friendly staff and they got us out 15 minutes prior to our tee time. If you are an above average golfer will want to play the course from the Black Tees as from the Whites would be a bit too short. Some very nice holes as the course has great character. As others have said, the tee boxes need some work and the greens are slow but are consistent with a public course. A few bare spots on some fairways but not too bad. Thought we got good value for our money. Would play there again if in town.

On Thursday march 13/14 we were 2 foursomes to play this course and we had na lot of fun.The staff is very courteous and nice.The course is some challenge but Ok for moderate players as we all are.

Met by friendly starter and staff. Got off early and finished in less than 4 hours. Course is in good condition, but tee boxes need seeding. Back 9 has 3 holes over 410 yard par 4's. Challenging course for intermediate golfer.

We had good time we had a very slow group in front of us but that is. Not the fault of the course. It was in great shape considering thre rain day before

The Babe may be short but it does not lack challenges. Many holes are flanked by neighborhood streets so it's easy to hit your tee shot OB. The course was in pretty good condition and the pace of play was fast.

Friendly staff, nice course and good food. Played 18 holes on a beautiful day. Overall course conditions are good and the greens are fast. I like this course and will be playing here again.

I enjoyed our round of golf, just wish the course was in St pete. Not worth the drive through Tampa.

This was a nice course . The fairways were in great shape and the greens proved to be challenging....the staff was great the carts were in great shape
