About
Countryway Golf Club is an executive golf course that is known for its extremely affordable rates. Situated in the heart of Westchase, it is considered one of the best values in Tampa Bay. The layout consists of eleven par-3 holes and seven par 4s. The golf course is challenging enough for more advanced golfers but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners to enjoy. The rolling terrain provides undulations in both the greens and fairways. The hills also make for some challenging putts. There is no shortage of water at Countryway Golf Club with hazards coming into play on 14 holes. There are also bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Unbelievable
Total free for all. No marshal or starter so everyone is just going out whenever. At one point, I pulled up to #5 to find that my group was 3rd in line on the tee box while there were another two groups already out on the hole. Gave up after 9 holes
Pleasant short course
I've played here a few years ago, as well as multiple times many years ago. Was in FL on vacation and took a friend who rarely plays on a Sunday afternoon and we were able to get through 15 holes (before I tweaked my back) in about 3 hours. Greens were a little slow but generally in good shape. Definitely a fairly easy layout which was perfect for our outing and everyone was friendly and accommodating. Probably not a great course for advanced golfers but very enjoyable for a casual game.
Good Value But Slow
Much too slow......frustrating. We left after 12.

took 5 hours to play 11 par 3 & 7 par 4. Waited 15 to 20 minutes for every shot. On #3 there were 5 groups waiting to tee off. Nice staff but we will not go back!!!!!!!!! ever !!!!!!!
Largely Overbooked
I had time to write this review waiting on Hole 7 two hours into my round on the par 3/4 course. 3 groups waiting on tees. Nice little community starter course but pace of play is obsolete.
Great value course to get better
Will help you feel like a more confident player. Such a forgiving course and great value for what you pay.
Slow play
Couse is a value and the folks are very nice and friendly. However, it should never take 2 and a half hours to play a short course. Back up on every tee box on first nine. Only played 9 holes due to time.
