Countryway Golf Club
About
Countryway Golf Club is an executive golf course that is known for its extremely affordable rates. Situated in the heart of Westchase, it is considered one of the best values in Tampa Bay. The layout consists of eleven par-3 holes and seven par 4s. The golf course is challenging enough for more advanced golfers but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners to enjoy. The rolling terrain provides undulations in both the greens and fairways. The hills also make for some challenging putts. There is no shortage of water at Countryway Golf Club with hazards coming into play on 14 holes. There are also bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Never again!!
All I have to say is 4 1/2 hours to play what is basically a part three course is ridiculous!!!
Perfect Day!
The weather and the course conditions were great today! The pace of play was a bit slow due to demand and perfect weather. We LOVE this place though.
Play
Course somewhat overbooked. 2:45 teeoff meant we had to finish final few holes in dark. Shape of course pretty good. Good value for the price. Next time will try for an earlier tee time . Thank you Bob .
Terrible
Super slow and unprofessional . Staff sucks, pace of play terrible, we reserved 2:00 tee time and got paired with another 2 some group at 2;20. Im opening up my own golf course .
Great little course, superb value.
Countryway is one of my favorites. Course conditions overall are good. Green conditions are excellent. Always a backup on the third tee box. Usually evens out well after that.
Bust out the irons!
Busier than expected. Golf balls coming in from every direction.
Overbooked overbooked overbooked
It’s cool to have a decent short course close by to play but what good is a decent short course when the starting tee has 6-8 carts waiting to start. I’ve played this course many, many times and I like it. I’m just glad I was only charged 3$ online and the rest was due at the course and there was no way I was going to subject myself to even try and play. Coming down waters ave and entering the parking lot you can see carts at tee boxes, fairways and greens on a few holes. The course is already small then it’s ridiculously overbooked. I play this course on a regular and can knock it out in 2hours max. But with the overbooking I’m sure I could play TPC faster than countryway on that day. Needless to say I put my clubs back in my trunk and went to the range
Fun Golf
We are not long hitters, so shorter course was perfect. In good condition.
Golf Now is a Ripoff!
I got one of those “deals.” It was no deal. By the time Golf Now added it’s fees and add on’s, my deal consisted of a $1.23 savings for myself and the other two people in my threesome. Next, one never see a refund from Golf Now and I couldn’t find a phone number anywhere on their software. The only number I found was the direct line to the golf course. I tried to re-schedule to the next week because two of us had just discovered we had COVID. I called the course and they said the tee time could would not be changed. I told them, okay, see you tomorrow and I won’t be wearing a mask. The representative put me on hold then came back and told me the tee time was changed to one week later. I never received a confirmation. I think nothing was accomplished and expect to find out I have no tee time next week. I expect that I have just been robbed of almost $70.00. Golf Now is a terrible company and should never be used by a legitimate Golf Course.
NOT a Fun Time at Countryway
NIce course, but my wife and I were paired with another couple to make a foursome, which slowed us down because the 2 ladies were beginners and us two men were intermediate golfers. Staff were a bit rude in telling us to speed up because, apparently some "PGA golfers" were behind us and they were not happy that we couldn't play as fast as them, so they called the office to complain. It wasn't like we were taking a bunch of mulligans and spending time looking for lost balls. The course ranger would not let the other group play through, so we ended up being so rushed that it was hard to enjoy our round. My wife was upset and just refused tto platy the back nine (so we could go faster). They should go to a different course if they are that advanced in their game. This course is designed for learners, beginners and maybe intermediate players, not arrogant "professionals." Countryway could be a little more understanding about different skill levels of the golfers that come there. Maybe they should increase the times between teeoffs by a couple of minutes; oh, but that would be less profit. In their defense, Countryway gave me a refund for my wife's fee, since she could not play fast enough for the players behind us. Still, we did not enjoy our time there at all. Don't go there if you can't play fast.
