About
Countryway Golf Club is an executive golf course that is known for its extremely affordable rates. Situated in the heart of Westchase, it is considered one of the best values in Tampa Bay. The layout consists of eleven par-3 holes and seven par 4s. The golf course is challenging enough for more advanced golfers but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners to enjoy. The rolling terrain provides undulations in both the greens and fairways. The hills also make for some challenging putts. There is no shortage of water at Countryway Golf Club with hazards coming into play on 14 holes. There are also bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Golfer Reviews
Only play if you are a beginner
The course was in pretty good shape. However it was so busy and you couldn't have any flow to your game. It was very slow we're waiting about 10 to 15 minutes at each Tee.
It took us over two and a half hours to play 9 holes because the play was so slow. There was a ranger around the course but did nothing to speed up the game.
The Greens were in good shape it is a course that has a lot of water with a lot of very short holes under a hundred yards. If you are new to the game is a nice short course for you but has a lot of difficulty because of the water.
The tee boxes and greens are side by side and when someone is hitting off the Tee Box there's a good chance balls can come your way while you are teei ng off because there is not enough room between holes it could be very dangerous
Not worth your time
To start with, my tee time was in the middle of a senior league play. WHY would you have tee times during this. So they had me start the back nine, it was a little slow. Got to the front and league players were still teeing off had to wait 20 min to start. Then atvthe second hole it was backed up with 5 foursomes. Went back to the starter and asked if we could play the back nine again and the league had just started on it , so no. No refund either. Never again.
Overbooked will always result in slow pace of play
Played golf for one hour and sat in cart 3 hours waiting for tee to clear. Not my definition of enjoyment.
Virgin
First time there. Looking for a course for my FiL (88 years old). Decent course for the $$$. Some distances were difficult as they were "between clubs" for me. #14 is a pain, but hopefully I will do better next time as I now have an idea of where to play.
Fun track if you tee off in the morning …you can play it in 3 hours
first time playing there. got a good deal on a golf discount site. the course was really enjoyable to play. will play there again.

Good value for the money. Course is relatively short but has some challenging holes. Will play it again.
Everything was good with the course and the staff is very friendly
Executive 18 holes
Rplayed all 18 holes. We are 60 yrs old and want simple golf . Light effortholes and thats exactly what we recieved. Maybe a soda cart on the course would have made it better.
2 or more carts on every single hole
I pulled in for my 215 tee time and there was people ok every single hole, people on the practice green, more people in line paying to play and nobody finishing up their round. I've never seen a course more over booked. My round ended before it started. I went to northdale and played a 5 hour round there instead.
